I've been planning my training for Clearwater.  My endurace is rock solid...I can go all day.  So, the focus for the next 2 months will be speed.  Lots of tempo and interval training.  I've been talking to Todd and Kristen about specific workouts to build run and bike speed.  Todd has some interesting ideas.  One is take the bike trainer to the track.  10' bike LT ride on the trainer then 1 mile cruise interval, repeat 3 or 4 times.  Anyone want to join in?


I continued bike shopping today.  I'm still leaning toward the Cervelo P2 DA.  Going to ride some more Felts tomorrow, if they have my size.

Swam with Triple Threat at the US Open race site - Lynn Creek Park. Felt good swimming but didn't really have a lot of energy. Still feeling some fatigue. Just swam easy. Distance is a guess.

Lead the ride of US Open Tri bike course with Triple Threat. This was a course recon ride so we rode slow and no drop. This is just what I needed; easy ride to get my legs loosened up.

September 5

Went bike shopping today.  Rode a 51 cm Cervelo P2.  It felt great.  The bike is smaller than my Felt.  The top tube seems shorter (probably is).  I also rode a 52 cm Felt B16.  I wouldn't buy the B16 because it has 105 components, but rode it just to feel the frame.  Those 2 were all RBM Frisco had in my size.  My current Felt bike is a 52 cm.  I wonder what a 51 cm P3 would feel like.  I need to find one to try out.

Master's swim

I swam only half of the workout. I could feel the fatigue in my body. I couldn't keep up with the fast guys. So, cut it short. It felt good to get some blood flowing through my legs.
