ok, spent 15 hours plowing snow for a punney little 6 inch storm. People think we make rush hour storms bad for them. Just the opposite. there is now 2 inches of solid ice on the streets due to the snow being packed down by all the traffic. So yesterdays snow made trafic today on the ice even that much worse. Oh well
Update on the co-worker, this is worth the read. Yesterday durring the storm we made contigency plans on when we could schedual the funneral and dig the whole and have the cemetery cleaned up. Only one problem. The funneral home was not calling with details. We knew where the lot was and marked it before the storm. Well, I did some inquires and found out the co-worker was back in plowing, just 30 hours after I had seen him leave when his grandfather passed. I wondered why. As it turned out, his GF had flatlined, but his pace maker brought him back! Well problem was, he was even more of a shell of a man after that. Today we get the call. I figure the battery from the pacemaker finaly gave up trying to keep the poor guy alive. So now his is gone, yet again. I must admit though I will be listening for a little knock as the casket goes down :)

I know I will be up early in the morning tommorow to plow snow, but I just needed the extra sleep today. Need to get back into a rythem, starting with lights out at 9 PM. Will consider a workout at 8 tonight if I do not feel like I am ready to sleep yet. I have a tendancy to get wound up before plowing and it dose not help my sleep. I intend on setting the clock to get up for a morning run or ride if the plows are not out yet. I think it is more wishful thinking than anything else.
Weird situation at work today. One of the new highway guys gave my big boss the heads up his grandfather was given last rights. This was very helpful for us, so we could locate the grave and have it as ready to go as possible after the storm hits. I was down the town barn and he came up to us to chat about the situation and we thanked him for his cander and the heads up. As we were chatting he was trying to reach his mom, who was bedside with his grandpa for the last few days. When she was not ansuring, he was sure things were not good. He got through, looked up at us (myself and another guy were seperating flowers from old funerals in the back of a dump truck) and said "that's it he's gone" and walked away. Kind of surreal. He had been joking to us about taking some of the old dead and wilting flowers home, just incase he needed them for his grandpa's funeral that might be latter in the week. Now we will probably be doing the service on Friday. All in a days work, but just kind of a surreal situation none the less. I will not loose sleep over it, but just figured I should vent it somewhere.

Could not sleep to save my life last night. Got out of bed at 3:15 AM. Decided to get the 2 hour run in I missed on Sat/Sun. Started the run well. Could not quite get loose though. By the middle of the second lap, gas and a little nasua kicked in. Since I had not felt well on Sunday, I wraped up and took a long shower. Battled the nausa most of the day. Did not keep me out of work though
On the major good news front, got the old windows 98 computer hooked up to the internet finaly!! Spent 2 hours on line with tech support to fix the problem.
Need some help, have a old highschool friend now on BT as journeyforlife. Need people to keep him going with me please :)
