I am going to have another productive day today. My father is coming over to help me replace my kitchen sink faucet. It has had issues for a long time, and the project is over due. Tried to do it before the surgery, but there was no energy. Now I have butt loads of energy, but still sore. I am just going to get used to the sore, as I am sure it will go away soon enough.
What a great and fabulous day!! Got a bunch done and enjoying every bit of it. Tomorrow, I go out and get my birthday present I have been working towards for about a year, a Garmin 310 XT!! Getting all the gadgets too.

No HRM, so it is a true walk today
Tenderness is all but gone. Get a little reminder every once in awhile. Slept the best I have in what seems like a long time last night. Sad part is, I have had a ton more energy with less sleep this week than I do right now :) I will chock it up to the same feeling one gets at the beginning of a tapper. You have been working really hard, and your body starts to truly recover and get ready to ROCK!
Not quite sure what is on today's docket. Looking forward to a walk, maybe even a pretty long one. Have a bunch of "honey do" stuff to get done, and plan to pick away at it. My biggest goal for the day is to not sit in front of the boob tube all day because the house is empty. Up at the "go to work" hour and helped drag the kids out of there slumber.

1 AM and not sleeping again. My jaw is very tight. I am going to try changing pillows to see if it is being caused by my new pillow. Finally gave into zanex at 2 AM. Changing pillows might have helped a little.
I think part of the problem is I am thinking to much. Some of it is ok, and some of it not. On the ok side is I am worried about a new friend. I met an amazing woman presurgery who was having the same procedure done. I was able to track her down on facebook when I got home and we have sent messages back and forth a few times.
I consider myself quite blessed right now for the pace and success of my recovery. My new friend however, developed a blood clot in her right atrium. She is still on bed rest and having to giver herself shoots to keep her blood very thin. I pray for her speedy recovery. She is a wonderful person, and her family still needs her.
On the not so helpful side of too many thoughts, I am thinking and planning on things I would like to do around the house and how to attack them. I made sure before I went to bed that I had gotten a bunch of things done to help prevent this. No such luck. Anyway, I am sure today will be a good one, and will try to make it count.
Overall, I am feeling really good and counting my blessings.

Logging this walk as a run so I can track my HR. I walked for 20 minutes before stopping to talk for about 30 minutes. Big surprise there. Finished the walk after. Could have easily gone longer without a stop. I think 30 minutes was the right amount of time for today though.

got my heart rate up a bit for I was breathing like I was running. No discomfort of pain. Actually felt really good to get the body moving and shake out some of the stiffness.

Big day today. Going to pick up my first Garmin!! I have a deal lined up on a 310XT, will go up and put together a package and make it work.
Speaking of work, last day of recovery. I am so ready to go back to work. Actually went in yesterday to hand in my doctors note, and check in with the boys. Was nice to get a lot of the Q&R our of the way all at once.
I HAVE MY GARMIN!! Going to take a while to work with it and figure it all out, but I look forward to it.
