woo hoo -- did Littlefoot today and placed 2nd in AG. At least that's the ribbon they gave me. Website results say 3rd, but the 2 women that beat me only did half the run, so we'll see. Durn swim was longer/harder than last year so only beat my overall time by about a minute. Swim was 3 entire minutes slower than last year >( I am going to learn how to swim dammit!!!
Should get in the shower and go to Boulder w/ the fam to see K. Hope she's packed and ready to come home.....

OWS @ Chatfield. Time includes everything once the wetsuit was on. Got halfway to sandbar and decided to go back and use inhaler, then swam to sandbar and hung out for a bit. Water got pretty choppy as the wind picked up. Decided against riding after the swim -- good choice. Water felt warmer than the air.
I am no longer a gravel pond virgin, and my wetsuit is officially mine, if ya know what I mean ;)
If the water had been too cold, Littlefoot tomorrow would have been ruled out, but it wasn't so we'll see. Chatfield was 55/56 degrees and they said Bear Creek Lake is warmer.

It's thundering!! I love thunder - probably because it's a warm weather sound. Hope it will be accompanied by rain and not fires....
Saw the Dr. this morning. She gave me pills so I only have my period every 4 months. Hubby will love this, esp. seeing as how I wanted to smash everything in the kitchen this morning because he gave the dogs the leftovers I was going to have for lunch today. Dr. thought I overreacted. The leftovers weren't even that good. They took blood to recheck my thyroid. I think it would be really cool if I could take pills that give me energy and make me skinny - lately all I want to do is curl up on my office floor and sleep.
Today: bike & swim & Team TriBal mtg. Run tomorrow.

Still sore from the weekend fun. Maybe do a little trainer spin tonight to loosen up babe.
I'm thinking I should get a Dear Diary rather than putting everything in BT. Nah.
More blood talk. I think the bottom line is I have thick blood. Not surprising living at 7200' I guess. High levels of iron, protein, hemoglobin, hematocrits. A friend of mine has to give blood regularly to keep it thinned. Honest, by doctor's orders. Sounds rather archaic. Maybe the dr. will recommend moving to sea level, by the sea and sand, with warm weather year round. That would be ok. We'd keep our place here of course so we have high land to run to as the oceans rise. And maybe the weird hearbeat was from dehydrated thick blood. Took an extra beat now and then to push that sludge through. So no meat/cheese and extra water. Maybe I should start drinking beer again to thin it - nah, better keep my deal w/ #3. As far as I can tell he's kept up his side of the bargain for over a month. Which reminds me: all those bad habits I blamed on alcohol -- staying up too late, being forgetful, making bad decisions -- they're still my bad habits w/o alcohol. Rats.

21:46:25 easy spin on trainer watching Bones and House and eating everything in sight.
This week's focus: Sleep, stretch, short Z1 training sessions, eating and drinking water. Pretty lofty goals there. I'm going to enjoy this.
