Gravel pond, sandbar and back. Forgot to use my inhaler again so swam real easy -- it's not like I can pull over til I catch my breath in the middle of the pond if I start wheezing. Think I'll tie my goggles onto the inhaler so I can't forget again.

After the swimming and chatting, I ran around town picking up my internet orders and some last minute stuff. Had to order Clif lemonade electrolyte mix -- no one had it in stock. Got some rasberry Clif shots to go w/ my lemonade. Should be much tastier than mocha. Perfect combo for a hot run. Picked up Ted after his ride and we wandered around city park looking for the marathon expo. Found it -- not very exciting. Hope we can find the parking easier tomorrow morning. Time to cut back on the eating, I guess. Already had 1 nap and watched 1 movie. I love tapering ;)

The race starts at 6:00 Sunday! Guess that's good -- we'll finish before it gets hot. Guess I'll wear a disposable fleece (glad I picked a few up at Goodwill) and gloves.

nice and easy Team TriBal track wo. Asthma was awful. I'll take 2 inhalers to the race Sunday just in case. I have a pace cheat sheet now -- Julia is going to kick me into shape -- woo hoo!

Dinner: malt vinegar potato chips and sour cream w/ Coke chaser, milk and ginger snaps for dessert --  mm mm goood!

woo hoo -- just realized I have an hour and a half massage scheduled for tomorrow and then the chiro -- I'll be all loose and aligned for Sunday :)

It's official - I won my AG Sunday in spite of a horrendous swim. The 2 who place ahead of me only ran 1 lap, not 2. One of them would have beat me if she had finished the run. She beat me by 6 minutes on the swim -- yes, my swimming sux!! Apparently they changed the course from what was posted on the website, but since I didn't sign up til the morning of the race, I didn't know otherwise and did what the race director told us before the race. I wore my Garmin on the run just to make sure I ran far enough because it was a weird 2 lap run.

How bizarre.  New blood results back and thyroid and iron are normal, altho iron is on low end of normal, which is what I expected before the Channel 9 Health Fair results came in w/ weird #s.  So back to my spinach salads -- yay!  And Good Times once in a while too -- double yay!!   And the doc said not to worry about the other high #s, including the cholesterol.  So why did she tell me to have my blood tested?  So I could worry a lot about nothing?  They can't, however, tell me why I'm always tired.  So guess I just need to htfu :)

To no one's surprise but my own, swimming 3 out of 4 days in a row has made me more comfortable in the water.  Or maybe it's just that there were no waves or wind or wetsuit to deal w/ today.  And much less chatting.  Took 5 mins off my 2000 yd time.  People are weird at the warm pool tho -- they just wander into your lane from the wading pool.  And only one of them was a kid!  So there were some breaks for them to get out of the way and for lane changes when they didn't.  And a couple short breaks when Ted's attention span hit its limit.  He likes to scare the $hit out of me by swimming along the bottom of the pool underneath me.  Or practice open water races by swimming over my legs or grabbing my feet.  What a jokesta.

21:46:25 easy spin on trainer watching Bones and House and eating everything in sight.

This week's focus: Sleep, stretch, short Z1 training sessions, eating and drinking water. Pretty lofty goals there. I'm going to enjoy this.

woo hoo -- did Littlefoot today and placed 2nd in AG.  At least that's the ribbon they gave me.  Website results say 3rd, but the 2 women that beat me only did half the run, so we'll see.   Durn swim was longer/harder than last year so only beat my overall time by about a minute.   Swim was 3 entire minutes slower than last year >(   I am going to learn how to swim dammit!!!

Should get in the shower and go to Boulder w/ the fam to see K. Hope she's packed and ready to come home.....
