Did a BRICK RUN after the bike, and at first, legs felt heavy, but since everything was frozen from the bike ride, they were moving pretty good. Kept a good pace overall with technique focus. Good brick workout.
Headed out from the house, down and out to the Golf Course and back. Ride felt really good with the new shoes and pedals. The weather was rather cold, in the upper 40's, but manageable. Good speed overall, and legs felt great today.

After parents left, went to pool with wife, and we both did a swim workout. Felt good again to be back in the water.
Did some good stretching after a long warm bath to warm-up my core. Felt a lot better after the bath and the stretching session. Legs were definitively tight.
Parents left early in the morning, and then headed to the pool around noon. Then later after some good food, headed out for a nice bike/run brick workout. Felt pretty good overall form the training session today.
First full day of training. A little tired tonight, but good overall.
Have an awesome weekend tri-kids.

First swim since the foot surgery, and felt pretty good in the water. Did go and do Masters Swim workout. Intervals were pushing my HR, but felt good after.
Good stretching, and felt really good stretching the legs.
Just did my first swim today in over a month since the foot surgery, and felt good to be back in the water. Just nice to enjoy time in my favorite world.
Rest of the day was spent with my parents and the wife. Last day since my parents are leaving tomorow morning. Great time with them for a few days, but glad they finally are leaving back to CA.
Hope everyone had a great Holiday season, as I know that I will be back to training, so will be very happy again.

MERRY CHRISTMAS TRI KIDS!!
Well, Christmas is here, and Santa was really good. I got my new Shoes, and also got some new Pedals. Now using the Speedplay Zero's and some Louis Garneau Tri Shoes. Tried the shoes on, they fitted me way better than my 10 year old Sidi's that I had. Finally, get to start riding since my foot surgery.
Hope you all have a Merry Christmas, I'm spending it with my parents. Cheers!!
December 24
Good stretching session, and felt good to stretch the legs and the back.
Parents are in, and ended spending the whole day with them. Had a great time, and just relaxed. Did a few things around town, and did some last minute shoping for the wife and the parents.
Went to the Sushi place with parents, and they loved it. Chef took real good care of us as usual. He always gives us a bunch of free stuff and always something different everytime we go there.
Great day.
Happy Christmas Eve to you all Tri Kids!!

Good training session, and felt good.
Woke up feeling good. Feel asleep early last night. Parents are arriving sometimes this afternoon, and Linsy got stuck in Denver last night as they went illegal on the flight patterns. Meaning they worked more hours then allowed. So she's scheduled to come home today, and since they violated her day off, she gets to move todays day off to another day before the end of the month. Hopefully, that will extend her weekend.
Oh yeah, when I checked this morning, the small pin-hole in my foot is skabbed, so no swimming, but can start weights, running and some cycling. Except my blisters were caused by my 12 years old cycling shoe, so need some new one before pushing biking again. Don't need any problems again. After much diagnozing, my cycling shoes were the source of the problem at the Ironman AZ in November. They creamated both small toes on my foot, then running the marathon just finished the job. Ah, what do we learn, always have every tools fitting you properly, and don't try to make them last a lifetime. Shoes do have a lifespan people. Control that factor. Shopping time after the holidays.
All right, had lunch with the wife, as she is back in town. Parents arriving early this afternoon, and I have my rough draft training done all the way through August 2009, pending some of the other races and qualifications that I may have. Things looking good. Have my training schedule been reviewed with my coaches so that I can make sure we are on the right track.
Keep up the good work all, and have a Merry Christmas to those leaving early! Cheers!
Checked with doctor at end of day, and allowed to just run. No cycling until new shoes and start swimming Friday. YAhooooo! I'm very excited.

Did the ride from the house to the shop and then the golf course loop. Today, for some reason felt like my legs completely crash and burn to nothing. Was pedalling on reserves on the way home. Had no comparable energy like I did yesterday. Legs were just plain old dead. Was very disapointed in my bike ride.
Oh yeah, did I forget to say that is was 30'F for the ride, and my core was all frozen by the time I got home. Again, had to take a bath and some hot coffee.
Later in the afternoon, did a simple long run, nothing excitable. Felt tired and exhausted. Pace was really slow, but made it through for my first long run. Legs were still shot from this morning I think.
Temp was warmer, around 42'F for the run, and wore my very warm gloves. Course was pre-mapped from google earth pro.
Good workouts, as I feel that I gave it all I had. Legs had nothing to fire when I was done, almost like when I completed the Ironman in November. WOW, I was dead when I was done. Had to replenish lots of food before doing my run later in the day, but was still gone.
Great thing that tomorow is a rest day, because I think that I really will need it.
