Warm Down

Nice and easy swim workout this morning to just get my body working again. All sets felt pretty good this morning, but the pool was definively cold. The warm-up pull set was very happy with it as I concentrated on Stroke technique and counts. Averaged around 9 stroke per 25m. Some laps were 10, but mostly 9's, which made me very happy. Technique is really improcing, and concentrating on that this winter.

Short run from my office during lunch, and felt pretty good. Weather a lot warmer compared to DC, around 44'F, which felt chilly with the wind, but good overall.

Normally, today is a recovery day, but since I took weekend to recover from the long last week, I'm just getting some short easy sessions today to start the week on a good note.

Back to full training, and no trips for a while. Well, maybe one super short 2 or 3 day'er next month, but all good.

Great job to all who raced over the last 2 weekends, and keep it up. HAPPY MONDAY Tri-Kids!!

Both workouts felt good today, and just back to full tempo, today was a nice break in into my routines.

Happy training all, and have a wonderfull week.

Did about 20min stretching, and felt really good to loosen my upper and lower body. Now ready for chiro/massage tomorow.

Woke up this morning around 07:30 when a friend of mine called me. Then fell back to sleep. Woke up a little later again, then just started working on the house to finish getting caugh up.

Today is still a recovery day from this long week of working and exaustion.

You all have a great Sunday.

Got most of all my shore done at the house, cleaned back-yard, mopped the house, vacumed, etc... All in all, the house is clean. Also finished the day with some stretching, and that felt pretty good to loosen my body. Can't wait for tomorow and go to my chiropractor/masseus to get my back fixed.

Good night.

Today is recovery form long week in DC and going to sleep. Here is my day:

woke up early in the morning because of the wife, and she wanted to take her to the airport for work. Got home, ate some breakfast, and hit bed around 0600. Woke up around 9:30, hit the head, snack, then bed again. woke up around 12:30 when someone called, ate lunch, then sleep again. Woke up around 6 pm, watch TV for 1 hour, ate dinner, and fell asleep again for the day.

Well, as you can see, sleept all day and I think I sure needed. I felt my throat a little off, and immune system down. Took achinecia, vitamin C, and other stuff, then went on to rest for my body to recover. I was surprised at how tired I was, but it all came together.

This session was done on a trainer in the gym, so distance was estimated. Used the probability of averages from this year trainer session, and went on conservative for the distance.
15min AET1, 6X [2min Hard Z4, 3min Recovery] and finally 15 min warm-down.
Bike session felt good, but could tell that I was really tired. Not much HR data, since watch is at home in the hurry to get out of Vegas.

Quick brick run after the bike, and felt poorly. I can tell that I was exausted from this week lack of sleep. Can't wait till I get recovered this weekend.

Got up supper early, and was very happy to see that we had a gym, and actually a real nice gym at this place. It was a Marriot Town Suites place. Awesome rooms, kitchen, etc...

Bike session felt awesome after a week of just running, and not much else. Then did a short Brick run on the treadmill. Was pretty beat-up and slow there, as I could feel the exaustion from the week.

Well, I've finally made it home from all this insane trip in DC, and can finally rest. The main thing I'm happy is that I'm home with the wife and the rest of the family, and that I get to resume full training back to normal tomorow. Pending that I don't get ordered by wife to get fully recovered form this long 80 hour week that I placed in 4 1/2 days.

Sorry that I missed everyone, but will get caught up on filling the logs tomorow.

Good luck to all racing this weekend.

Mapped the course on google earth pro. Since we have no gyms near or within the hotel, had to focus runnning this week, and nuothing else. Plus long hours. Pace felt tiresome, but survived. I can tell the week is getting a toll on my body. Just survavil mode. Got 4 hours of sleep today.

Week is been very long. Got a small run this morning before going to the airport so we could get home.

Ah, what a frustrating day, after getting there, and loading everything, i.e. three pallets of equipment, so I could assume that I did some strength training. We loaded cases raging from 60lbs to 220lbs. Total was 4 of us who loaded 22,000 lbs of equipment onto the aircraft. I was in back of the truck with another guy, and the other 2 up into the aircraft. Conveyor belt lift from ground to side of aircraft.

Now we are all ready to depart, and guess what the plane is broke. So we head to main HQ, and I manage to fill reports all day long. Around 5pm we are sent back to hotel, and I manage to work till almost midnight to get all my reports done, so to minimize what I need to do next week on this Inauguration details/mission we had.

Another long day after all.

Mapped course with Google EArth Pro, and then just raned it. Felt crappy as the weather is in the single digits, and gets up to 18'F for a warm time. :( Know I know why I left DC and live in Vegas. It may still get cold, but not this cold. Do you know that the Potomac Bay around DC is Frozen right now. That's how cold it is. WOW!

5 before and 10 after. Just not enought time to stretch more, but got some in.

As the wife keeps me accountable, no matter how tired, I must still get some runs in. So got a real short one today. Long night last night. Got home around 0500. Then sleept till 0900 when we had to get going for today. Lots of work to still do.

Got in a short run to wake up, then headed for another long day for post Inaugural events. Then we must tear down everything we brought, and pack everything, making sure that everything is accounted for. Good day again.

Followed short running course from Google Earth Pro. No gym at hotel and within a few miles. We also have no vehicle as FBI will be shuttling us around for the Inauguration.

Felt OK on the run. Weather was rather brisk, i.e. 9'F for this run, and just a little chilli. I just did not bring enough cold weather gear for this type of running. But survived.

Today is a 17 hr day and a long one. Got home around 5 am from yesterday, and started working at 10am today again will late tomorow morning. OOGH!!

Short run to keep my brain functioning with this cold and long hours.
