You know it's been a while when you have to think back to where you last put your Garmin! Hot run on the Triple H, although I didn't actually do the whole thing because I was only going for a 2 mile run. Did 4:00 run/1:00 walk (sort of) because of the lack of training and the heat.

Got an early start on the day because I knew we had a lot to get done. Sent Stephen out to take comp photos for an assignment which gave me about 90 minutes of uninterrupted office time to smash through quite a bit of work. Got one report to 90% done (he's entering comps for it now) and got another report done except comp photos and reconciliation. That leaves us with two reports left to do, neither of which will be particularly difficult, and it's only 9:22 AM. Hopefully I can keep pouring it on and get everything knocked out so all we have to do is go take comp photos this afternoon. We might even be able to dip out a little early! --- 12:30PM and we have been rocking and rolling! Stephen has been entering comps while I work on other stuff and then when he gets done with comps on one I give him comps for another one. He stays busy, I stay busy, bada bing bada boom! We're working on our last order for the day and we just need to go get comp photos and send the reports in. I'm thinking we'll both be done and home by 4PM, if not a little earlier. --- Got a call this evening from a real estate agent selling a property and he told me my appraised value was "odd" because it came in $500 below the purchase price. The purchase price was $144,500 and I came in at $144,000 because that was the value of my highest unadjusted sale (the sale data for this assignment was not good at all). My client wouldn't have even accepted the report if it was only $1 over the highest unadjusted sale price. I asked the guy if it was $236 less than the sale price if it would have been odd, and he said yes. I said that I thought a sale price ending in $236 is odd in itself, and then I said that I guess what you call "odd" depends on your perspective. I asked him what he thought he was going to accomplish by calling me, and he kept going back to the "odd" thing. I guess I don't know what to tell ya, bud. A value that ends in ,000 doesn't seem that odd to me. Seems pretty normal, in fact.

Whew. Did a high dollar amount in orders today. Stephen (our employee) had to smash out a little early to get to the mechanic in time to get his car dropped off. He had his A/C fixed a few weeks ago and it's been acting up on occasion--even did it when I was riding with him one time, so he wanted to get it in to get looked at because the temps this week are ridiculous--high 90s. That's just too warm to be riding around in your business casual clothes with the windows down!

Hmm... 5:51 PM and I still haven't finished work for the day... and I've been at it since about 7:40 AM... Oh well, getting close. It's dinner time now and then time for a workout! UGH...frickin frackle. Kid has a basketball game tonight at 7:30. Did I mention the only reason he played basketball for the school was because his mom forced him to (he didn't want to)? And that the only reason he's on this summer league is because a guy stopped us after his first game and asked if he wanted to play?

Wow I haven't been this "quiet" on BT since last year I don't think! After a week of doing absolutely no working out (unless you count some minor electrical work and walking up/down stairs as working out) I'm getting back on the horse tomorrow. Not sure what I'm going to do, but I'm going to do something! Working with our new employee has had me very busy, but at the same time we're already getting more done as a pair than I ever could have as an individual. Mainly being able to work while he's driving has been good. He's a good worker and has really been absorbing a lot and making some big strides even in the few days he's been working for us. Friday afternoon we were done by about 3 o'clock which was nice. With him working with me side-by-side all day it's been impossible for me to get out and do any working out during the day like I was able to before. That's fine, I haven't been working in the evenings which is really great. He likes to get started early which is a little bit of a pain for this "night owl" but I'm learning the ways of the early bird :) He's going to go take some comps for me in Omaha which will save about 2.5 hours of driving. Time saved=money saved/earned in being able to take on more orders! We have a busy week coming up (especially the next two days) so that will be our new challenge, to take that on and not fall behind.
