Allons-y!

June 27

Woke up this morning with diarrhea and then after about 30 minutes I vomited. I'm just the healthiest guy you ever did see! Just barfed at a property I was inspecting. No, the homeowner didn't see it. Yes, someone drove by while it was going on. *sigh*

Thinking about joining the Tuesday Night Time Trial guys tonight to get a baseline for where I'm at with my cycling fitness. Oh and my sore throat is back. Not quite as bad as it was before but it's been getting worse each day. What the heck is wrong with me? I haven't gone a day without several coughing fits either, starting before race day. Ugh. Oh duh that won't work. My sister-in-law is coming into town to visit (they're stateside from Japan for the next couple weeks) so I can't be leaving to go ride my bike!

Was only going to ride to the lake and back but I was feeling pretty good so I kept going on that 1-hour (mostly) trail loop that I found after our Easter vacation. The baby was sleeping in our room for naptime so before she went down I grabbed a bike jersey and some shorts out of my "pile". Got into the bathroom to change once Brynn got home and gave me the green light to smash out of there, and realized I had a pair of Brynn's bike shorts! Yes, she's worn my tights before, but I figured it would be too silly for me to wear her clothes, so I grabbed my tri suit because for some reason none of my biking shorts are in my "pile" where my other bike stuff is. Figured I'd only be out for an hour and wouldn't need sunscreen. Figured incorrectly. That's okay though, just reinforcing the tri-lines. Forgot to wear the HR strap and realized it as I was rolling out of the driveway, but didn't think much of it. Now I'm kinda regretting it because I'd like to see the data, but whatever. Oh and I had Brynn get me a new battery for my PT while she was out too so I do have power data. Now if I could just take it downstairs and plug it into the computer...

Hot on the Triple H. I went shirtless and undoubtedly blinded some drivers, but I figured 1) it's hot out, and 2) I could use a little sun.

Might try to get a trainer ride in tonight. Just needing to keep the momentum going--just a few short weeks until Papillion!

You know it's been a while when you have to think back to where you last put your Garmin! Hot run on the Triple H, although I didn't actually do the whole thing because I was only going for a 2 mile run. Did 4:00 run/1:00 walk (sort of) because of the lack of training and the heat.

Got an early start on the day because I knew we had a lot to get done. Sent Stephen out to take comp photos for an assignment which gave me about 90 minutes of uninterrupted office time to smash through quite a bit of work. Got one report to 90% done (he's entering comps for it now) and got another report done except comp photos and reconciliation. That leaves us with two reports left to do, neither of which will be particularly difficult, and it's only 9:22 AM. Hopefully I can keep pouring it on and get everything knocked out so all we have to do is go take comp photos this afternoon. We might even be able to dip out a little early! --- 12:30PM and we have been rocking and rolling! Stephen has been entering comps while I work on other stuff and then when he gets done with comps on one I give him comps for another one. He stays busy, I stay busy, bada bing bada boom! We're working on our last order for the day and we just need to go get comp photos and send the reports in. I'm thinking we'll both be done and home by 4PM, if not a little earlier. --- Got a call this evening from a real estate agent selling a property and he told me my appraised value was "odd" because it came in $500 below the purchase price. The purchase price was $144,500 and I came in at $144,000 because that was the value of my highest unadjusted sale (the sale data for this assignment was not good at all). My client wouldn't have even accepted the report if it was only $1 over the highest unadjusted sale price. I asked the guy if it was $236 less than the sale price if it would have been odd, and he said yes. I said that I thought a sale price ending in $236 is odd in itself, and then I said that I guess what you call "odd" depends on your perspective. I asked him what he thought he was going to accomplish by calling me, and he kept going back to the "odd" thing. I guess I don't know what to tell ya, bud. A value that ends in ,000 doesn't seem that odd to me. Seems pretty normal, in fact.
