Glutes & hip flexors are in very poor condition. Going to try and right them wrongs.

Today might just be a rest day. I've packed my running gear, but I also need to get a present for my Dad's birthday that is today. There's nothing quite like last minute... After logging nutrition for the first time in a while, I wasn't too far off the mark. Just slightly high in the fats category, but ok elsewhere. Need to up the intake of vegies, that certainly has been lacking a little.

The usual crew weren't there tonight, so I did spend a lot of time chatting to the swim instructor. I did feel a little tired before the session, but I either need to do an extra swim per week or get some distance in before this session.

Back at work, but at least its only a three day week. All the beer, champagne and fabulous food has taken it's toll. I have to start watching what I eat a little closer.

MELBOURNE CUP DAY I had all my eggs in the Pop Rock basket and it came through to place second. I've come out ahead this Spring Carnival.

Walked into work to pick up my bike for tomorrows day off. Planned long-ish ride in the morning. Thought better of drinking and riding on Friday night. I wanted to make it to the races Saturday.

Not sure an hour walk was the best thing for my feet that spent all day in high heels yesterday! Pain.

I have decided that my own personal punishment for obtaining a hangover will be exercise. Even if it is a walk. I feel too lazy if I don't do something. While I didn't go that hard at Derby Day, I could be feeling fresher. I am taking tomorrow off for the benefit of a four day weekend, given that Cup Day tuesday is a public holiday. Apart from riding there'll be a bit of lawn bowling and some more drinking all in the name of birthday celebrations (not mine).

Ooh Derby Day. I managed to keep myself very nice-ish, probably due to still feeling the effects of Thursday's illness...

Commute with a slight detour to avoid some lights. Legs felt pretty tired.

The rest certainly helped yesterday afternoon. Finally, for the first time this week I have woken up and felt like its time to get out of bed. The gland is down and the throat is better. I probably pushed myself too hard on the way in and could do with a nap now, but it should be nothing a good strong coffee can't help!
