Laps of the Lake this morning. I rode until I could no longer feel my toes or fingertips. The later it got the more trucks there were to clear away the GP stands. I started to feel like small fry and happy to call it a morning.

It wasn't so nice out again this weekend, but I was determined to get another brick in. Just rode 20km up Beach Rd & turned around. The ride was over before I knew it. The wind was out making it rather cold (I'm so happy I was wearing gloves!) but there was no battling on the bike.

And then I ran, I left my iPod at home so it was just me and my "positive thoughts" the first couple of minutes were tough just because my legs felt numb more than anything. For most of the run I thought about how I was going to feel coming last next week and thinking that the race will/might give me the confidence I need to do a 1/2 IM in November (shh, don't tell anyone). The last 10 minutes were tough because I was trying to crack an hour for 10km. It wasn't to be this time. Oh the frustration of 1:33, still I think this may actually be a PB for me!

*Sigh of relief* I'm very happy to have finally got an Oly brick in. I felt as though I had plenty left in the tank for both legs. I went easy on the bike, and only really started to push at the 2km mark on the run. I just had a look at my last "official" 10km run and it was 1:03:something I think I might note down today's time. Hopefully I can cross that long term goal of mine out pretty soon. Or change it to 50 min for 10km!!

So close to 5km in under half an hour. How frustrating, I wish I'd checked the distance!! Didn't hve much time this morning, but decided to get out there anyway. Did let HR dictate, just ran. Ooh this is my first run under 6min/kms in a looong time and my HR didn't blow out. That's exciting!

Oh no. I was up late last night watching my first episode of Prison Break. We have it on DVD. It's incredibly watchable. Just what I need!! More tv in my life. Might be useful though for windtrainer sessions... The plan this week is much like last, I plan to do a brick as well as a long-ish ride. Fingers crossed for getting a swim in too. Perhaps tomorrow!

The weather man promised rain this afternoon (it's currently clear, sunny and COLD) so I thought it best to at least get a run in while its not grey & wet. Felt good to be out there as hesitant as I was.

AM: A swim will be logged, no matter how or where, I am getting in the pool. There's a risk of showers, hail and thunder, so I'll be searching for an indoor pool me thinks.

My nutritionist was really happy with my progress thus far. Things to work on include my hydration, just drinking fluids in general. Upping my iron levels and making sure I have at least 2 serves of low fat dairy if not three on some days. The reason I may have been so tired yesterday could be my hydration levels. As Jane said, even if my iron levels go up I'm not going to feel less tired if I'm dehydrated.

This run almost didn't happen, but I pushed myself out the door. I almost didn't make it home. I just felt as though I had run out of energy.

I am exhausted. Last night after the footy (I'm not so sure I'm glad its back given the patheticness that was on display, damn those Pies) I was so tired I felt sick. I fell straight into bed, but awoke not feeling refreshed at all. I had to run this morning, because if I feel this way tonight, there would be no getting me out. I have a nutrition appointment tonight and look forward to discussing my progress. PM I have to say I'm feeling much better. But it might have something to do with the coffee...
