More renovation work today. Got a couple more walls up... and have a plan for working around the duct work and centre beam. But first I have to strap the ceiling because the builder (or plumber) ran a pipe the full length of the house UNDER the joists down the middle of the room.... geees... what a maroon@! ;)
To all the mother's out there.... HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!!
To all the father's... PAMPER HER!!!! ;)
This internal clock is getting REALLY old.... when's it going to let me sleep past 8 a.m. :(
Well it's mother's day... I guess I should look after Sweetums today. The boys and I will have to cater to her every whim. ;)

Biked out to the Club Duathlon which I can't do because knees are recovering. Cheered in the few people, chatted with the guys... then went to buy some more tubes in town. Biked home again.
Basement renovations... interrupted when I had to get framing nails which I discovered I didn't have... (was sure I did). Took longer then I wanted because I let #1 son drive to the store and back... he needs the practice. ;)
Took Sweetums out dancing last night... trying to find a new club. (Our old club has closed it's doors sadly.) Found another nice one and to our surprise a number of people from old club are going there too. So we had a great time. :) Will only log two hours dancing time... we were out longer then that though. LOL

Changed tube this morning... got the old tube out and couldn't find leak... pumped it up.... nothing. So I put it back in thinking maybe the valve had stuck open. Pumped it up .... psssssssst.... took it out... pumped it up REALLY full and discovered the leak is at the VERY base of the valve stem... unfixable. :( Put in patched tube with short stem... had to use my frame pump to inflate, because the floor pump can't seal on that short a stem. Hoped it wouldn't flat on way into town. Still inflated... so my patch held, and I inflated it hard enough. Sometimes I get lucky. ;)
Now... organize lawn mowing detail... garage cleaning... basement renovating... going to be a full afternoon.

Can you say GRRRRrrrrrr with me.... all together now ... GRRRRRRRrrrrrrrr !!!!
Was ALL ready to bike in this morning... pumping up the tires... all's going well... take off the pump AND... pssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss.... FLAT TIRE!!! No time to change tube... so because I'm home, change clothes and drive to work... again... when gas is at an ALL time high, and I can bike to work ... I don't get the option. MAN am I pissssssssed. :(
Oh well... could have been worse... could have flatted half way to work. Ok, so today will be a swim as it says on the plan. As for the running... that just can't happen for a while... the knees were pretty sore after the 15 min. jog on Wednesday evening. I think the climbing in and out of truck and up and down stairs yesterday didn't help the situation either. They are better this morning after rolling ITB and icing them last night. BIG bonus for helping BFF... I was expecting nothing for helping, but she is replacing the laminate flooring with hardwood in the house. So, she offered me the laminate flooring... it's absolutely perfect... and will save me about $1000 on my basement reno's. It DOES pay to be a nice guy. ;)
News from the world... story that every cyclist should read. ALWAYS pay attention... NEVER believe a driver is looking out for you.
Road rage - be careful everyone.
Driver's Side of story - because there's always two sides to a story.
You decide who's guilty. We all know who's the worse off. :(
EVENING UPDATE:
No training today. After supper, I started laying out the partition walls in the basement... so I have things semi prepared for starting tomorrow. Hopefully, with a little help from my elves, I'll have them up tomorrow. :)

Easy run... seeing what my knees can handle... apparently not much. Have to ice them now. :(
Tried Chi running... (running on toes/balls of feet... quite difficult but was able to do about 1km, may take some time to perfect, but I think it could save my body in the long run (ararar -- pun intended).

Weighed myself this morning... ummm... that's the lowest I've weighed in 15 years. I'm happy about that...but that is probably dehydration. We'll see what it says tomorrow morning, if I'm able to eat normally today. :(
Off to work now... yeeehaaaaw :(

More work on the basement walls... gotta love unplanned for problems. Had to strap ceiling in order to drywall over the plumbing... therefore, had to make trip to lumber yard to buy more lumber. Fortunately, I was able to return some subflooring which offset the purchase of extra lumber. Hopefully by the end of the week I'll have the walls up and can start on wiring.
PT treatment... rushed one but still good for me. :)

Technically a rest day... but not. More work on the basement. Trip to lumber yard... 90 min.... lunch 60 min (time well spent with Sweetums ;) )... work 60 min... pick up boys at school... work 45 min... remember PT appointment..... race there to get treatment done... then race home to make supper (sweetums working evenings)... do 15 min of work... then off to piano lessons... 60 min of work... tuck in boys... do dishes... now I get to sit down and rest for 10 min before shower and bed.
Who knew a rest day could be so exhausting??? LOL
