Enjoying life one day at a time

BRRRRRRR... +5*C ride... and a lovely little NE wind to keep things from heating up any. Only saving grace ... the sunshine and beeeeautiful blue sky. :)
I was riding with the liesure riding group. Unfortunately, they were a weeeee bit to liesurely for me. I wasn't warming up at all... so after 30km one other rider and I just left all the others behind and finished the ride on our own. If you're not generating heat it makes for a miserable ride. We ended up averaging over 25 km/h... and I did more pulling thru the headwinds...plus had to wait at the top of all hills.
Typical ride for me with this group. I hope next week that more of the quicker riders come out so I can get a sweat going. ;) No HR info... didn't start the HRM. I'd say that my average was close to 100... high was probably 140.
Sweetums is tired of the Spandex Man blog title... so I'm officially opening up the blog to suggestions. Let here them folks... what's YOUR suggestion for a title? ;)

Sweetums thought it would be a good idea to go for an after supper walk. It looked gorgeous outside... it's NOT!!!! BRRRRRRRRRRRR... we cut it short and just went around the short block.

A tough little bike ride. Biked into the wind for the first 1/2 of the ride then had a relaxing/speedy ride back. On the way into Baden, as I was cruising along at 40km/h I decided to keep going up to the rec centre then back to make up the distance to 40k. Unfortunately, when I turned back at the rec centre I realized why it was so easy cruising at 40... I was heading downwind. Oh well, it's a strength builder. ... Right? ;)
Brick run... nothing spectacular, just a little run to see if I can still do it off the bike. I can't. That was HARD!
Post brick stretching.
I was going to ride with the Liesure group today, but snuggle time with Sweetums was far more appealing. :)
So I went for a quick ride around the countryside this afternoon and tacked on a little 4k brick run for shits and giggles.

Late leaving home again... had to push a little harder then I wanted to... but still a good ride. Sunshine and cold (-3*C 9km/h SW wind) but really not to bad.
UGH.... that was a hard ride home. Headwind all the way... so completely wasted when I got home. It was warmer... but not by much. Sun was out and it was a lovely day otherwise. :)
Forgot to start HRM... so no HR info. At one point I saw another cyclist ahead of me... and gave chase. This was on the hardest section with the most hills. He was about 1/2 km or more ahead, when I saw him, but I caught him after 5km... even with having to slow down a lot due to the rough road... now I remember why I don't take this route very often... VERY rough roads. :(

Just a quick Z2-3 run... was supposed to be Z1-2, but I've been slacking lately (yeah, yeah... I was sick). That was my quickest 5k in a long time (partly to the fact that I needed to get to a bathroom... and FAST ;) ).
A little chilly, but it was pleasant enough. Should have worn gloves, but I survived.
Before and after stretching.
Today... what can I say... it SUCKED!!!!!!
I get to work and notice my coworker's (fellow programmer) car isn't there... which was odd because he's always there before me. When I get in, I find out he hurt his back yesterday and didn't work too. Then I saw my desk... and the HUGE list of Conference top programs to do. I seems that one of the other engineers neglected to inform someone that they started a new part # range in the system... therefore we weren't being advised that programs were needed. Until today, when ALL these programs were needed. One VERY large order of 38 conference tops... 80 programs... I was rushing my poor little fingers to the bone... not a moment to stop and think.
I did get all those programs done, but there are still another 100 or so programs that need to be done... and we are short one programmer. Fortunately, the factory isn't working tomorrow or Monday... giving me time to catch up. :(
I need a run. :o

Feeling a little less miserable today.... I'm thinking it was a case of something I ate disagreeing with me. The fever broke around 3 am... and I no longer feel like vomiting. We'll see what the rest of the day brings.
OH... I looked outside... now I feel like being sick :(.... we have snow drifts in our back yard again... W...T...F... I thought it was spring. :(

My friends

Processing your request, please wait...
I just didn't feel like training today. The weather outside was too cold... and I wasn't feeling the love.
Tonight I was going to swim... but our accountant was supposed to have come with our Taxes... he never showed up. So that put a kibosh on that. I was to do a 1/2 hour run too... but getting all geared up to go outside is getting so terribly old. I decided to just rest. I think my body was needing it. I napped a couple times.
I did change the o-rings in the leaky faucet, moved picnic table off lawn, b'ball hoop off driveway. So lawn could be aerated and driveway sealed. Other then driving #2 son to orthodontists... I did a big fat NOTHING. Felt kinda good. ;)
