Core/Shoulders/stretching
Ahhhh, Monday = rest! Feet, legs and back are achy this morning. Plan to do lots of stretching today. Hmmmm. Working in the flower bed probably doesn't constitute rest, huh? Will try not to overdo.
Goals this week:
Review my goals every morning
Eat healthy foods to fuel my body
Follow my training plan
Balance - do something everyday for house/yard/office/training
This week:
M Core/shoulders/stretch
T W4/legs/stretch
W XT (Bike) core/shoulders/stretch
Th W4/legs/stretch
F Core/shoulders/stretch
Sa W10
Su W8
I really like the plan. Two rest days built in for the legs, but the weekends are killer. Saturday mileage is actually supposed to be up to 18, but I'm not there yet, so I'll adjust and get there as quickly as I can safely. Its going to take a few weeks.
I had lots of fun walking this weekend. Felt like I could have just wandered around all day long exploring new parts of town.

What a gorgeous morning. Had to wear long sleeves - 52 degrees out. Felt much better this morning
Lots of fun out there. Found some new paved trails (and hills!) You know, back in April I said all I want to do is go out and train all day long. LOVING that I have the option to do that now. :) Stopped to give a couple people directions and didn't even obsess over pausing my Garmin.
Had a bit of a crappy eating binge going the past couple of days. Back on track today. Really, I don't even understand why I do that. I start feeling a little bad, then I eat crap and feel worse. I know it doesn't agree with my system, so why do I do it? Anyway, need to get my act together. Don't need to be feeling like crap any more!
It was two years ago today during the Flying Pig half marathon that I first got sick. Don't know why I'm dredging that up again, but its on my mind. I'm glad I have WAO to focus on. I needed something to pull me out of the rut.
I am smack dab in the middle of our friends who split up and that's just where I didn't want to be. Me and my mouth. You'd think I'd learn to keep it closed. But then, it hasn't been closed for 50 years, don't suppose its going to start shutting itself now. ![]()

Feeling rough out there this afternoon. Just happy to get a few miles in.
This morning, I'm going to try walking on the treadmill while the grandson plays in the workout room, then more wii - he gets to pick the games this time. This afternoon, Fred takes over so I can get outside for a walk.

Tough PT session today!

This turned out to be really nice. Walked through an upscale neighborhood admiring the landscaping. After awhile, it all starts to look the same though. They probably all have the same company take care of things. lol! Took a turnoff so I could talk to the cows. Don't know why, but I've got this thing for cows. They probably think I'm a nutcase, but they make me smile. :)
Two of our closest friends split up. I feel like we're living in a soap opera right now. Fred talks to the guy in his office and I email with the girl in mine. I really hope they work things out. We are all supposed to go to Costa Rica in June. Hopefully everything will work out and they'll kiss and make up, but its not looking good right now.
Tired this morning! Going to go out and wander around for awhile anyway. Figure there will be lots of time on WAO that I'll be tired and I'll need to get out there anyway. I'll only do one walk today, but I'll get in my shoulder/core strength as well. Have a haircut this afternoon, then I'm heading down to pick up the grandson for the weekend.
I was hungry all day yesterday. Did really well making healthy choices until late in the afternoon and at dinner. Need to make up more turkey meatloaves and protein loaves so I can just grab them when I'm hungry.
Had dinner with a couple last night. The lady was wearing a beautiful pink watch and I complimented her on it. She works at a jewelry store and told me I could get one for $495. It didn't even have gps or a heartrate monitor.

Lots of very slow paced hills. One, I was going up and the guy in front of me stopped just before he crested because he needed to rest. Sigh. I just about didn't get unclipped in time and plowed into him. All in all, a good ride. Didn't go nearly as far as I thought we were going.

Riding today with a couple of Fred's friends. Should be a perfect easy pace, but probably longer than I really want to go. I'll keep an eye on the distance and if they go too far, I'll head back without them. We'll all have lunch afterwards. Should be fun!
