Mostly stroke work. Backstroke did a great stretch on the shoulder, but man did it hurt!

Last full day in Costa Rica and I'm feeling lazy.  Discovered a hammock chair, which is even more comfortable than lying in the hammock.  You can sit upright, but still stretch out and even lie back for a nap if you want.  I do believe one of these will be making its way into my suitcase. :)

Thoughts are starting to go back to the real world and getting in shape.  I'm thinking seriously of hiring a trainer to help me get back on track with strength workouts.  I'm a little lost right now and I think a professional may be just the help/accountability I need.  Not sure how to go about finding someone.  The first thing that comes to mind is to renew my membership at the Y and go with a trainer there.  Any other thoughts?

More bird and wildlife watching than walking this morning, but it was time on my feet, so it counts, right? ;) Had a great morning wandering around at a pace that was consistent with keeping my eyes to the trees and sky. Beautiful sunrise walk at the beach and I was alone. I needed the alone time. Badly.

Down the hill and on the beach - had the boys pick us up, so didn't have to do the climb back up today. :)

Really glad I'm getting some pool time here.  Its making a big difference in the shoulder range of motion.  Its making it hurt more, but totally worth it to have it working better. I haven't been walking as much as I intended, but honestly its nice to have some down time.  When I get home, everything is going to be full tilt towards WAO, so I'm enjoying the break from stressing.

Taking me forever to finish the Chrissie Wellington book.  Its good enough, but obviously not something I can't put down.

So my friend thinks I'm going to need to extend the time of WAO if I'm going to stop and take pictures so often. :)

Had a great time walking into town.  I'm guessing that strawberry daquiris, guacamole, and fried calamarie wasn't the most healthy choice for lunch.  Sure was tasty though!

Getting ready to head out on a longer walk.  There seems to be some descrepancy as to how many kilometers it is where we're walking, so we'll walk one way, take a break, get a drink, then evaluate our options and either have the boys come pick us up or walk back.

Was going to do a longer walk this morning, but woke up feeling tired and achy and decided to take it easy.  Suspect I've just been doing too much and this is my body's way of telling me to relax a little.  Today is Fred's birthday.  We're going to celebrate with local pizza and pasta.  I'm guessing it won't be like eating the american versions.   Yesterday, I had whole squid stuffed with shrimp.  I love squid, but after eating it two days in a row, I think I've had enough for a little while.

Reading Chrissie Wellington's new book.  Almost makes me want to be a little more careful with the diet and exercise.  Almost. ;)
