A little of this, a little of that
Cut a few grapevines
Last couple of nights we've been sleeping with the windows open. I really enjoy the fresh air and night sounds, but the sounds have been keeping me awake. Two nights in a row, I've heard owls, which is totally cool, but I find myself lying in bed listening for them and trying to figure out what the other night sounds are. Doesn't make for a good night's rest.
Nutrition is really starting to fall into place. Yesterday at breakfast, the "cookie lady" offered me some of her goodies, and I didn't hesitate to say, no thank you.
New shipment of dresses came yesterday. Didn't like any of them. All of the dressese were the same size and they were either too snug and clingy or too big. One that they sent wasn't even the one I ordered. Fortunately I found one in the back of my closet that I bought to wear to an event several years ago. It's just a bit snug, but it will work nicely, thankyouverymuch.

Yawn. Must be Monday. Want to start the week by doing some motivational reading to get my head on a good track for the week. I'm not feeling particularly inspired this morning and I want to be!
Chilly outside, so I'll work in the office this morning and go outside after lunch.

Time to check in and review goals for last week and set a path for the week ahead.
Nutrition: Made great progress this week cleaning up the diet. Kept calories where I wanted and backed way off on the crap and sugar. Went out twice and had some not so healthy foods (and drinks) but for the most part, I'm happy with the way things went. This week's goal is to continue heading in the right direction and get more fiber in the mix.
Ride my bike 2x: Did this - got on the recumbent
Farm/Yard - 6 hrs: Got 4 hrs done
Clean one room: Totally blew this off
Office work: made good progress
Shred a bag a day: Got 4 done and to recycling
Not going to change much for this week except to add some strength training into the mix. Primary focus once again will be on nutrition. This is especially important since we're heading out of town Thursday and if I'm used to making good choices, it will be easier on the road.
I'm also going to play around with activity levels this week and see if I can't find a happy medium between nothing and too much. If I overdo things, my body feels crappy and if I do nothing, my body feels crappy. Goal this week is to do just enough to put the body in a happy place.

Wandered around the front field and white pine trees cutting grapevine and bittersweet. Stayed away from most of the big stuff since my shoulder was sore from sawing so many yesterday.
Welcome to Friday! Not much going on here today. Want to get the mowing done before it rains tonight and some office stuff done. Still searching for THE dress to wear to our event, which is now 2 short weeks away. I ordered several from Macy's last week that arrived yesterday. At least now, I know better what I don't like. I'm placing another order this morning and hopefully one of them will be the right one. I have a formal pair of flowy pants and a sparkly jacket in the closet in case nothing else works out, but I really would like to show a little leg. :) My original thought was to find a Hollywood drop dead dress, but when I tried them on, I quickly figured out they did not go well with my "tomboy" personality. I can't even remember the last time I had a dress on. I keep telling Fred we should just go to the football game and skip the event, but guess we're locked in. Sigh.
ZERO plans for this weekend. This makes me happy.

Finally hit the 150s again. Goal for the weekend is to keep the food reasonable and stay in the 150s! Not planning to track food, but I packed some healthy stuff to have in the lodge so I don't get caught up in mindless crap eating. My dress will fit much better next weekend a couple of pounds lighter rather than a couple of pounds heavier. I'm in a good place right now. I'd like to stay here.
