Wanted to get out & do something, but not too strenuous so I went up to Silver Dollar Lake. The wind was brutal above treeline & for some reason I didn't think I needed to bring my winter shell so I didn't linger very long. Always puts me in a good mood to be in the mtns though.

Isn't it nice when you hear from someone you haven't heard from in a really long time just out of the blue?

Nice run but I was getting the start of a side stitch even at an easy pace. Probably part of the tail end of the cold, but today was just about getting the time in so it didn't really matter what my pace was.

Went & cheered on all the BT'ers at Rudolphs Revenge this morning - Another great run by everyone, everyone is so fast!

I might try & bang out my long ride today. The cold is basically gone but I ran out of energy pretty quickly on the trainer last night. I've got some running around to do as well today.

Something just clicked and I just remembered that I had my first IM dream last night. It was about the swim & it wasn't good. Still a little clogged up today but mostly fineBack to normal today, so I will spin tonight.

So yesterday my throat got better but whatever it is moved into my sinuses & I had a headache all afternoon. This morning the pressure is gone but my sinuses are filled with goo. But no runny nose - so far. Plan is to keep up with the workouts but take it a bit easier so today I am going to pass on the swim because the thought of dunking my head underwater isn't appealing but I will spin on the trainer tonight. That's not appealing either but the funk is all above the neck so as long as it isn't getting worse I might as well do something. I don't think it will last much longer. I'm seriously leaning towards a new bike. Just found out D3 is doing a discount with Guru. Only thing I'm not crazy about is I'll probably have to do the D3 paintjob but for the discount they could write whatever they want on it.

This is hard for me to admit, but I was a little sick yesterday. I woke up with that dry feeling in my throat so I OD'd on vitamin c, took it easy in my workouts and went to bed early. Couldn't fall asleep though and my throat seemed to get worse & it was starting to hurt to swallow. At least I had some weird dreams though. This morning my throat is still feeling weird but better so far (knock on wood) but I must have slept weird because my back is a little sore. Or maybe it is from the subway doors closing on me in the dream. Run & gym today but I will pass on the run.
