Ran in the wonderful sunshine- was totally uncomfortably overdressed, but it felt so good to be stopping through the mud! Picked a bad day to try out my new face mask... HATED IT.

Wow!  I've had an awesomely productive week!!!  If I could only say the same for my schoolwork... Oh well, thank goodness tomorrow is a well deserved rest day.

I started out counting my strokes, but it was just too much to think about. I don't know how everyone manages to keep track of all these numbers!! My first and only successful counts were 22-23 per 25meter ...ooops I mean yard, lap. I tried to work on my breathing on my last 250. First I tried to do every 4th stroke but when I tried to breathe on the left I nearly drowned. Then I tried breathing every other right stroke, but then I really didn't feel like I was getting enough air. I felt like my stroke fell apart and I was suddenly swimming like a two year old. I guess this is why I have to practice!

I made it into the water by 8 (and yes, I realize that this would be sleeping in for some of you... but waking up is the WORST part of the day for me... I'm working on it.  It would help if it weren't dark out!).  So, I decided to follow through and hit Starbuckies on the way home.  Unfortunately, it wasn't where I thought it was and I ended up driving completely out of the way to get there.  I considered just giving myself a "rain check", but then decided that I Had Promised.  So- got my iced venti passion tea lemonade and was quite happy.  :)

I still didn't quite make it to the pool ontime. I've got to work on it. I've decided if I can be IN the pool by 8am on Thursday that I will allow myself a stop at Starbucks on the way home from the pool. Will see if that's a strong enough motivator. :)
