March 11

Today was the second day in a row that I just could not get out of bed in the morning to run.  I'm hoping that I'm adjusting to DST rather than feeling tired or over trained.  Considering my schedule lately, if I'm tired or overtrained I've got problems.

I'm going to do my best to stay motivated for a short afternoon run and tomorrow is a pool morning.

Good ride today, felt very strong for the first 25 miles.  The 25 miles back also felt good but had a few periods of fatigue that would last for about 2 miles.  Slowing the pace for those miles seemed to do the trick and then I'd feel fresh and ready to go.  I wonder if I need to learn to pedal at a higher cadence in a lower gear to keep the legs from getting tired.  As always, it was good to ride with the NAMC group.

Felt good to finally ride.  The quick run was just to get the legs moving after the bike ride. 

 

Home with Jack today, he has been home sick all week and Kristen and I have been alternating who stays home with him.  Kristen says she'll be home in time for me to get in a good bike ride this afternoon/early evening.  The weather should be perfect for it.

Training this weekend will be tough b/c Kristen is out of town for work.  Chances of a run tomorrow morning are close to nil, Saturday training is all but a lost cause, and I'm waiting to hear from a babysitter regarding Sunday so that I can join a group ride.
