Time is estimated. This was a low-tech run: no GPS, no ipod, no HR monitor, no watch. It was just me and the road. It felt nice to just go out and run.

The time includes probably 3 minutes of "stoppage time," to borrow a term from soccer.

It was just a perfect day for a ride - about 70 degrees, light wind, and a well-kept trail. Thanks to Tyler for the ride - it's so much nicer to do a long ride with someone else instead of going alone.

So I went back and checked the last time we rode this trail all the way to the end back in May. Despite being 3 minutes faster (and probably more than that, if you take the stoppage time into account), my average HR was 11 BPM slower than on that day (142 vs. 131). Granted, there was a lot more wind that day, but I think this suggests my fitness has improved since the last time we rode.

Good run on a great night. Lots of bugs. I ran a little harder than I have been for my longer runs, but it still felt comfortable.
