6:45 AM  It's raining.  :-(

Thunderstorms this morning, so I started off on the trainer.  The storms stopped and decreased to a light rain.  Time to go outside.  Ride started off with a light rain.  The rain stopped for a little while, but then returned off and on.  Glasses kept getting spotted with rain drops - that is so annoying.  Solid ride.  Should have ran for 1/2 hour after the bike ride, but I did a little landscaping instead.  Yep - I'm a slacker!  The shrubs all need trimmed.  I did a few, but lost steam.  I do a horrible job at this anyway, but someone has to do it.  I'll trim the others another day.  I still need to mulch.  I'm so behind!

Half day vacation today.  Working at home and then have errands and need to clean the house.  Hubby leaving for Pittsburg soon for a hockey tournment all weekend.  I'll have a weekend of training.  Looks like rain tomorrow - not good for the planned long bike ride.

Second run this afternoon.  A reward for completing a ton of errands and a way to put off cleaning the house.  :-)  Run felt great!

Trainer ride first thing this morning.  I was going to do a brick, but I may have killed my treadmill.  It was acting funning and had a hot, burning smell the last time I was on it.  It wouldn't start this morning.  :-(  It is dead!  Thunderstorm and dark outside.  No brick.  Time to get ready and head to the hospital for work.  School this afternoon.  Plan on swimming at the Hyde Park gym after class. 

I looked at my vacation time  - 8.6 weeks!  I'm going to start taking time tomorrow.  Half day tomorrow and then maybe 2 half days or 1 - 2 whole days a week until IM Louisville.  Time for training.  :-)

Anyone know of a good brand of treadmills?  I'm going to need to purchase a new one soon and need one that I won't kill. :-)

I planned to be at the West Chester gym this morning by 5:00 for a swim.  Didn't make it!  :-(   My body decided I needed to sleep in until 5:00.  That extra hour of sleep was sooo nice!  Also, I'm working on end of the academic year reports, etc for work and needed to get to it.  The gym pools are crappy anway.  Only 20 yds, too warm water, and no backstroke flags.  I'll swim tomorrow at Hyde Park gym after class.  Today, I'll go to the gym this afternoon for weights and then run.  It is raining now, so it may be a treadmill run. 

 

I didn't get in the long run this afternoon.  It is raining and I was tired of the treadmill.  On the positive note, I accomplished a lot for work and have a completed a very solid draft of my grant that is due the first week of June for my school class.  Now, I need to work on my presentation and the class work will be finished!!  :-)

Gym this morning for strength traning.  Had to hurry home.  No time for cardio.  Drywall for the basement is being delivered first thing this morning.  Exciting!  Have 2 hour bike ride planned for this afternoon after work. 

Perfect afternoon for a bike ride.  Still had a little wind, but not too bad.  Legs were sore from yesterday's workout, but they loosened up after a few miles.  Lots of farmers working in the fields today.  I love that!

Gym after work this afternoon and then home for a short run.  Hubby came home from work and said he was going rollerblading at the park.  He has some out of town ice hockey games this weekend and has not been on the ice for a week or so.  He wanted some skating time.  I'm always up for some more exercise, so I went to the park with him.  It has been a long time since I was on rollerblades.  It was fun.  Nice to do something different.  :-)
