trainer. more severe thunderstorms this afternoon & evening

Had a flat tire last night after leaving the house closing.  I was able to make it to my parent's house and my dad put on my spare tire (full size tire sin it is a SUV).  Went to the tire place today.  There was a nail in the tire almost on the sidewall.  The guy said there is a 50% chance a patch won't hold since it is so close to the sidewall.  I had them patch it anyway.  A new tire for my SUV is $260.  With almost 200,000 miles on the car, I am going to need to replace it soon.  I really don't want to buy a new tire.  Not to mention that due to wear it is often necessary to buy two tires.  I really hope the patch holds and I don't get another flat!

Rain and 45 degrees today.  I was really hoping to get in my last long ride OUTSIDE, but it didn't happen.  I have my trainer set up on my parent's screened in porch.  It was chilly out there this morning, but dry.  It was nice to at least feel the outside weather, but stay dry and safe from the storms.  It was interesting to watch the storm.

Run was not really a brick.  I had to wait about 40 minutes after getting off the bike until the lightening and thunder stopped.  It was still raining, but the storm had passed.  I already miss my treadmill.  I had a wonderful $4,000 commercial grade treadmill.  When I move, I will be renting a small house, condo, or apartment (depending on where I move).  It is doubtful the treadmill will fit.  Plus it is so heavy!  My sister recently moved from a condo to a house in Washington DC area (needed more room now that my niece is 1).  My dad is going to take the treadmill to my sister's house for her basement when he goes for a visit in June. I have given my sister so much house stuff.  I am downsizing and she is up-sizing - perfect.

My parents have never been supportive/encouraging with triathlon.  I hope the job situation works out soon and I know where I will be moving.  Having 4 bikes and lots and lots of tri gear in the house is going to get old for them fast.

around parents neighborhood. some good hills. TIRED.

Vacation day.  Movers should be at the house around 10:00 to load to POD.  Taper starts Monday and I am so ready!!!  TIRED!

Moving was a DISASTER!!!  I used a moving company recommended by the PODS.  They were horrible!!!!  Do not ever use Mango Movers.  The movers did a horrible job packing the POD.  They were rude and unprofessional.   All of my stuff didn't fit into the POD.  I had cleaned out and gotten rid of so much stuff!!!  I now have all 4 bikes and lots and lots of other stuff at my parent's house.   I need to figure out how to ship/transport all this other stuff when I move.  UGH!!!

I still don't know where I will be going.  The job in Tucson at the University of AZ continues to contact me saying that they are still working with HR and they plan to hire me.  It has been two months!  What is taking so long for the official offer?!?!?  The interview on Monday for the San Diego job went very well.  I would LOVE the job.  It is working on a DoD grant with active military and chiropractic care.  A sub study on the grant is working with BUDS (navy seals in training).  So cool!!!  They verbally offered me the job.  Unfortunately the salary is $8,000 less than what I currently make in Cincy.  Due to the cost of living difference, I don't think this is going to work.  They told me to think about it for a weeks or so and get back to them.

Storage POD has been delivered.  Final packing and moving to parent's house today.  Movers will be here tomorrow to load the POD.  The POD will then be taken to the storage facility until I know where it will be shipped.

Sorry I have not had time to respond to inspires.  I will soon!  Need to get moved and settled.
