It is going to feel like a long week. No holiday this week. :-( I had plans for a girls trip to visit my friend Jenny in Kansas this coming weekend. I really need this! Her grandma passed away, so she will be out of town for the funeral. Sad. We are going to reschedule the trip, but don't know when. The next few weeks are big training weeks and then taper for ironman Louisville. I also have so much going on at work, that it is hard to take off a day. Jenny's schedule is also quite busy the next few weeks with work and 2 kids. I get back from Louisville and then 3 days later leave for Barcelona, Spain for a work trip.

Slow. 1:15 of this was on trails and the rest was on the road. Hot again. Getting worried about how my body will deal with the heat/humidity in Louisville in August since I have been spoiled by San Diego weather the past 2 years.

While I was biking yesterday, a random question hit me. I was outside for most of the day training and this is something I have done most weekends for years. Some weekend workouts are longer than others, but I train (have fun) every weekend. What do people do that don't do this? I am being serious!!! It has been so long. If I decided after completing my 10th full iron (August in Louisville) that I want a break (not sure I do), what do people do on the weekend? Really? What am I missing?
