Wednesday Night Ride. Good to be back on the bike after a couple days off, but it was cool tonight. And my legs really never felt warm. Steady effort tonight. Just a usual Wednesday night group ride.

Gina at the tax site, so I spent the night with Mr T.  He was a bit too fussy to allow me to get on the trainer.

I haven't seen my son since Thursday, so I stayed home from the group ride to play with him.

Headed over to Tyler for their group ride. Not sure if I'm getting in shape, or they weren't riding too hard into Troup today because it felt fairly relaxed. Hopefully I'm getting into shape. About 10 of us were still up front as we were nearing the city limits, so I hit a hill hard when it was my turn to pull to drop everybody except Andy, Eddie, and Chuck. Turns out there was no sprint. Felt good to ride hard, but I was hoping for more intensity. Forgot to bring the HR monitor, so time and distance are estimates.

Great week of training!  That almost resembles a week of training for somebody who competitively races bicycles.  :)

Long ride. Got about 10 miles or so in before heading out with the group to Marshall. Out 968, back 449. Had a few good pulls on the way out, but for the most part this was just nice base riding. Fairly small group today, but I'm thinking it was because of the half-marathon/5k this morning. Regardless, great way to spend the first part of my Saturday!

Base riding on the roadie. Hung out at the shop early in this ride with Steve and Kelly. Headed out Big Woods/Sparks. Legs are a bit tired from this week of riding.

Cooldown

Trainer, doing one of Carmichael's training sessions for time trialing. Painful workout. It's always hard to get the HR up for extended periods on the trainer. So keeping the HR around 170 during the power intervals was more than difficult.
