The swim went about as expected. I started about row 3 and was right in the mix during the start. There was some contact early but not as much as expected. After the first 500 yards or so it was clear sailing. Every so often I'd have to go around somebody or between a group of slower swimmers and we'd bump a bit. I kept the pace easy and just tried to get it done. After the first turn buoy I veered off course a bit and probably cost myself 20-30 seconds. Swam straight after that. Really not much to talk about on the swim.

The water was perfect temperature. A bit choppy in some spots. Really a nice swim. Just wish I was a faster swimmer.

Overall time of 9:54:19.

10th in age group and 58th overall out of 2300+.

8 Kona slots and it rolled to 11. Would have been torture to go to rolldown and hear my name...but no way I could have taken a slot this year.

Run along jogging trails at Mont Tremblant. Just got there and didn't really know the area so Sue and I just found a jogging trail and ran. Felt OK but it was humid and I think I was a bit underhydrated by the end. Long day of travelling on Tues/Wed didn't help.
