Still really dragging today. May just need more time to rest/recover/grieve/be. Mutti's not quite herself either--she is usually quite the energy bunny. If it's still like this next week, won't hurt to take her in for a checkup and repeat liver panel (FUCKING HEP C) and bloodwork. Heh. Maybe me too. I'll also go to a pull-back week next week--no way I can do another mid-teens hours training build feeling like this.

This is where me and my friends went last night (again, like last week), and why I have a horrible yet so worth-it hangover from way too much fun bellydancing bellylaughing shisha-nicotine Turkish coffee-caffeine super Middle Eastern overfooding. Yes.

"moderately long aerobic" means (like pretty much everything else she says): DIE MUDDAFUGGA!

800 IM in the MIDDLE of the main set? 800 kick afterward including sprints? "moderately long aerobic?!??!?!" MY HALF-WHITE FAT ASS!!!

Gave up on time intervals for 2 reasons:
1) I was dying, muddafugga.
2) Unusually busy day at the pool (remember, no black lines no lane lines no pool rules) so multi-collisions, kids jumping on me, lots of folks swimming every which way, teenagers cannonballing/wrestling/racing etc. Just impossible to focus on any repeat or set per se.

Also turned the 800 kick set into 600 because: I WAS ABOUT TO MAKE *YOU* DIE, MUDDAFUGGA!

WU: 800 free (every 4th 25 streamline kick on back)
4x100 free last 25 @near-sprint

MS: 10x200
1-3 freestyle brisk (interval to 5-10s rest)
4-7 I.M. (interval to 10-15s rest)
8-10 freestyle brisk again

KS: 8x100 kick, 1-4 moderate, 5-8 descending w/last 25 sprint (I did 6 of these)

CD: 200 EZ

Strictly a maintenance day today. Travel from Bali to Jakarta. It's only when I get out of this Jakarta Crazy Castle and go back to Bali that a deep fatigue sets in, like, I'm thirsty and it's only 3m to the water but I cannot get out of bed. I spent most of my time in Bali sleeping. Still crazy tired.

Good friend from our little Bali circle passed away today. She'd been very ill and had gone back home (Hawaii) for medical treatment, but had just recently rallied so we were hoping for the best. Not to be. I know one of us will take care of her dogs (she didn't really have family so it's us), but I still worry about them.

Just a long tough tired day.

3 Items of Gratitude: Sarah's life, wit, and friendship; that she knew she was loved; that I am a person able to love and be loved.

3 Things Done Well: called and spoke with all our friends today; made the plane back to Jakarta; long naps.

3 Things to Work On: I think I need negative 3 things to work on right now. So I'll work on eliminating three of the things I'm working on! Delegation, postponement, cancellation are all options.

I seriously did NOTHING today and really needed the time off. I slept. A lot. I did actually try to make it to the pool (per the suit) but hit a horrendous traffic jam that was un-pull-off-and-park-able. So the moment I got a chance I just turned around and headed back home.

3 Items of Gratitude: THE FUNNY FARM! MY ASSHOLE NEIGHBOUR HAS LEFT US ALONE! CEREAL!

3 Things Done Well: nothing, sleep, eat good food.

It is soooooo good to be back in my natural habitat at the Funny Farm with my furry freaks. I'd post a pic of Jahe "Deathwish" Kitty too, but she's basically just a blur of a flying squirrel launching towards the dogs' faces or tails.
