check race report, it's a guess until the official splits are in, but i'm very happy with them, i raced hard and feel great right now, my last mile and a half were sub 7 min/mile pace! where did that come from? i thought that was gonna put me in 3rd overall as i passed a girl with a few hundred meters left, but it put me in fourth, but first in my age group, and it was the championship of the series, so i'm pleased.

ran with the hubby, the pace was his pace which was good for me, it loosened me up, tiger (kingpin anyone?)

i just realized that the du tomorrow is an "olympic" length du, that's not what i was expecting, so i gotta think this one through.  most likely i will still do it, but i ain't sure yet.

it was way too damn cold this morning to ride any farther, so we went to ihop and ate blintzes:) i may do some more tonight indoors, but then again, maybe not, i've been up since 3:30. I NEED A NAP.

crazy thing is, i don't feel my legs AT ALL from yesterday, i'm sooper tired but not sore in the least.  so i suppose that's good:)

felt alright the first 5, did them in 43 minutes, the second five was ok, the last five sucked, i walked quite a bit, there was NOTHING left in the legs, which i kinda expected. i'm glad it's over and i know it only gets better from here.

i don't wanna run anymore, i'm tired, my legs want me to sit down and watch tv.  i feel blah, there's no mojo left, does anyone have any they can send me?  i will run my 15 today with my garmin around my ankle so i don't STARE at it the entire run.  the goal is to finish it without killing my already stressed out hamstrings.  this will finish my runs this week except for the race on sunday, and for this, i will be so excited i may pee my pants (drizzle or t-whizzle anyone?)  i need EVEN MORE DAYS OFF, i've already given myself more days off than i'm accustomed too and it's NOT HELPING.  can anyone say OVERTRAINED AND BURNEDOUT?

while i was venting to rennick i've decided that this might be another reason for my blah attitude today. i'm pissed off cause we (michigan) sent buses down to the gulf coast area to bring folks back to put them in housing, we had room for 10,000, and as of yesterday, only 5 people came up, YEAH THAT'S RIGHT, FIVE PEOPLE! that blows my mind, YOU HAVE NO PLACE TO STAY PEOPLE AND WE ARE OFFERING YOU SHELTER, CLOTHING, JOBS AND SCHOOLING FOR YOUR KIDS! yes, i realize the climate is different than they are accustomed to but are they really in the position to be picky about where they go for now? what's more is Idaho was snubbed as well.  i'll go to idaho, do they have room for me?  sorry, i just had to let it out.

felt like shit, i can't wait til the marathon, then the longest race i will do will be a half, this marathon training SUCKS! i loved it in the past, guess i'm getting old:)

for all you question askers out there i've been shooting competive sporting clays for the last 2+ years (although last year i was on crutches all summer, which makes it very difficult) i shoot a Perazzi MX8 12 gauge (over and under) with a nickel receiver and a custom stock (cause i'm kinda small) i won the state championship in my class this year and as a result i've been moved up in class, so this weekend was not another trophy weekend :(   could it be because i haven't picked up my shotgun since the state tournament? (june) i couldn't realistically expect to do well, as i usually shoot at least 1x per week sometimes up to 4x!  DAMN TRAINING:)  if there are any other Q's out there, just ask and i'll try to A:) YEEEHAW!  i'll post some pix when i can.

meant to do 12x400 @ 1:45  they went a little quicker, which is not that bad, but with the heat i didn't feel i could do more without passing out! the recovery 400's got harder as i went along while the speed work 400's felt pretty much the same the whole time, i tried to get them around 1:45, but without a treadmill, i suck at keeping a steady pace.
