ok kids, the goal for the chicago ultra this weekend is to remind myself that it's a training run for the sunmart fiddy.  i'd like to use the run/walk method through the ENTIRE race, that means the first 15 miles, too:)  maybe if i don't have fit and Q to talk me into just running it'll be easier to follow that plan(i love you guys:)) i also don't want to turn my aching legs into an overuse injury, so if something feels off, i may either finish it walking or *gulp* DNF to save my legs.   but there should be no problems and it should be a cool race, running along the lakeshore on the bike path.  yay me:)

very broken up run. i tried the run/walk thing i might do this weekend and i also experimented with different shoes, soles and orthotic combinations to see what i'm gonna wear. i never got into a groove and the whole thing sucked, but that's what tapers are like.

picked up my new runner's world wear test shoes. Nike Air Max 180+ II -gonna try that whole i-pod thingy out, kinda excited about it:)

ok, so i'm normally a screw ball but on election day i'm pretty freakin' serious. it gives me great pride to live in a country where we are allowed to vote. It would not be like this if we didn't have people like jldicarlo, cavu9, stake(ret) and numerous others on this site protecting our freedoms and keeping us safe. thanks guys! And to all you folks out there that have nothing good to say about what's happening in the states today...you'd better be getting your asses out there to vote, if not-you've got no reason to complain. take part people, like team america says: AMERICA...FUCK YEAH:) ok, i'm now off my soapbox.
