it's official, my massage chick said i kicked my own ass.
trixie once talked an Amish housewife into buying a toaster.

last 5 miles 06-44:09 8:50 pace
07-43:07 8:38 pace coulda been better but pretty good improvement.
overall time 06-1:45:52
07-1:40:44 5:12 quicker than last year, good stuff.
June 10
first 2=13:30 6:55
second 5=43:07 8:38
third 6=48:44 8:08
race strategy- i want to do well, but this is a B race, and in tough trails so i want to come out unscathed.
- first 2 miles- hold around 7:30s DONE. started too fast, first mile sub 7, then purposely slowed it down.
- bike- 20 mph DONE(20.3)
- last five miles- 8-8:30s not so done (8:38)...quads were good, calves and achilles were BAAAAAD, no more jump roping for me. couldn't push the uphills at all. had to walk them, all of them.
GOT MY ASS KICKED. first OA is outta control, no hope to catch her, not today and not for a long time. 2nd, coulda taken on an all out day with happy calves. I took 3rd OA, 1st AG.
gonna eat and do another 8 miles to get a 2 a day long run in. DID 6 in 48:44- 8:08's. where was that during the race?

just spinning
AWESOME!! there were FIVE people in my lane, so it was like a combat zone, but kinda fun, in a weird way.
core
June 7
first ~40 on a treadmill, til the power went off, the last ~14 outside, in the 50 mph gusts that knocked the power lines down. couldn't take it anymore, so i stopped short.
But I know what you're up to just the same
looks like sunday's tri will be a du for EVERYONE unless the water clears up a bit (high e coli) should be interesting. a couple hundred of my closest friends running through the trails...did i mention the runs were on single track??
