Rest day for medical 'procedure'. What fun.

Went for a run but lower legs felt heavy and shins hurt a bit. Tried for 2.5 km, then walked most of the way back to the campsite. Ugh. No HRM.
Rode to Oliver with Erik and Yogi. Medium paced.
Rode back to Osoyoos as hard as I could. Whoo hoo!

Swam around at the campsite beach a little. Water is murkier and weedier than Okanagan Lake. Very freaky. I'm back to being afraid again. LOL. Don't really know how far I went - it was mostly just paddling around getting used to it.
Heading out to Osoyoos at 9am. Hope to swim later today but won't do a run - shins sore again. Will try to follow plan fairly closely this week. It'll be nice to train in new surroundings! Looks like the weather will be cooler - 25C ish.

Day 2 swim if I can fit it in.
Update: Too busy packing and running errands and I needed a true rest day anyway. (Is it a rest day if you're working your butt off all day???)
I'll try to fit in a run tomorrow morning and then I'm heading out to Osoyoos to go camping for a week. I'll update my training blog when I get home next Saturday unless I have access to computer at some point.

Rode to Oliver for breakfast and rode back. Drafting all th way. Easy ride. Passed both boys p Peach Hill. Yeah baby!
