He's gone 'The Distance'. Now what..?
August 10
August 9
Very slow run - hot and humid. Drank 1 bottle of Powerade.
Legs still feel little tired from the Sat 20k, but getting better. I feel like I am getting weaker(!) gradually - maybe it's just perception, maybe it comes from lack of motivation, maybe I started the training too early and peaked some time ago - I don't know, the fact is - I am getting weaker and I'll either work on it, find some lost motivation or start another program, or - just leave it and concentrate on work instead (which seems like a good idea, since the balance is somewhat lost...). Or maybe it's just too hot and humid!
August 8
August 7
Day off - trainingwise. Had to work physically in this heat (92degF) doing indoor painting to finish one house, man, did I sweat or what. Will be continued tomorrow, but I am planning to do the gym trip also as usual on Wed.
August 6
On trainer at the gym for 15min, then in the afternoon went for a 20k ride outside.
Very short run after the bike.
This includes some serious stretching I needed after the weekend run.
August 5
August 4
Longest LSD to date! The way back was painful. Walked a bit: first - after 1hr, then every 10 - 15 min. Drank 4 bottles of water, Ate 2 GU gels.

This was done on spinner - 3min 90-100rpm/2min hills. Usual.
Treadmill - tried to maintain steady pace. Did 2% elevation first, but later went back to 0%. I don't know what is more realistic...
Swim was first for a change, not last.
This was an indoor sprint tri simulation at the gym. The total time was 1:32:00 including the T1 and T2.
Nutrition: 1 piece of bread w/ cheese and coffee after getting up. Drank some water too. Had 2 fig newtons before the swim. Ate 2 fig newtons before the bike and drank 1 Gatorade during the ride. Ate 2 fig newtons before the run and filled the bottle with water. Drank a bit of water during the run. Ate 2 fig newtons after the run and drank some water. THIS WAS A GOOD PLAN - I didn't feel too tired and later on I went to work and did some yard work!
