He's gone 'The Distance'. Now what..?

June 7
Commuting on my 'new' cruiser to the race and back.
This 'cruiser' was my choice of wheels today because of the location (South Side) and I didn't want to leave a good bike there unattended for 2hrs.
So I put this bike together last night from some of the decomposed bikes in the basement. My brother doesn't even know yet...
Great race, had a good time, everything went as planned, no issues at at all.
And PB!!!
Just as I was hoping to go under 2hrs, it was actually pretty easy (well, 'easy' is probably not a good word for 1/2 mary, but anyway...).
5000+ runners, mosty girls, mostly young ones, mostly in good shape... God it was a good race! They were everywhere, I just didn't seem to see any guys, but maybe that's just me....
I will elaborate on this, and race in general later, right now I need to 'run' to a friend kid's birthday party.
A quick walk to to ur friend's party.
Race done, now off to a birthday party.
Btw, how do you like my new cruiser (the bike got an award too, for the most uncomfortable bike I have ever ridden...)?
No, it doesn't have a basket in the back, but I'm thinking of putting one in front (and I will put a baguette and a bottle of red wine in it).
June 6
Commuting to the lake and back.
Perfect weather that couldn't be wasted sitting at home in the morning. Went South first and then North and did the whole trail. On the way back had to battle with thousands of girls with pink ribbons doing the 26mile (yes!) breast cancer walk. It was kind of pointless to do another loop with all that crowd and specially when tomorrow is 1/2 mary race.

June 4
Slow run to the lake, then South to McCormick Ctr and back.
Didn't actually time it, this is just for the graph.
The only section I timed was a 1k distance I did at 4':13"/km pace.
June 3
Going South I averaged around 32km/hr which is awesome for MTB! (I ran out of gears most of the time...).
Now... going North the average dropped to 18km/hr or so and I sure had enough gears, but it was a damn hard work.
Good old MTB worked like a charm again - I love it.
MTB commuting to the pool and back.
Then another MTB commuting to the lake and back - all lumped together.
Non stop swim while being half asleep.
Park duties.
----------
Terrible sleep last night. Up at 2am, then a bit of rest, now it's 6:30am, windy and I don't feel like doing anything.
It will be interesting to see if I can force myself to do any workout today. I actually did!
