He's gone 'The Distance'. Now what..?
July 10
July 8
MTB commuting to the pool and back.
Early swim. This time the chlorine level was quite acceptable.
I still feel considerably tired after 2000m swim, need to work on that.
This was as late as I can run and still be able to sleep.
Really easy and steady without any spikes. Even splits to 5 sec!
July 7
South trail 2 times.
Good ride, almost got drenched, but fortunately only sprinkled a bit. Had to slow down few times not to hit some careless people.
Oh, at one point stopped to watch a remote controlled F18 jet!!! The show was awesome and looked exactly like the real thing.
5 sets today so far.
July 6
July 5
MTB commuting to the beach and back.
OWS at Ohio Street Beach.
Water temp. was 60 something, just perfect on the cool side, bit choppy on the way out. Had to cut the swim short as the family was waiting for some groceries I was asked to buy (bottle of champagne and something sweet...).
July 4
It started raining the moment I left the house, but overall, not a bad run. Was tired from yesterday, but the moment I got going, it was back to normal. Not many people on the trail today, but I guess in few hours the lakefront will be packed. I can already hear the explosions.
Had only 24oz of Gatorade and it was very humid.
We had fun at the Taste of Chicago last night. I have never seen that many people in my life (1 000 000 apparently, according to some estimates!!!) and the fireworks were awesome. Feel really tired today. Was planning a run, but right now that doesn't sound too good. And there's an Ironman New Zealand on channel 5-3 at 10am which means couch potato...

Some pictures from yesterday:
Hold your horses guys, we're coming through!
How do we get to the other side???
Are you thirsty? Don't even think about it....

Yes, 5:00am! Bloody hell.
Nothing to report other than my attitude's getting worse as I ride in traffic. There's so many dangerous morons!
Got the bread, paper, some ginger bread/chocolate cookies and apples. Yes, apples, like 4 lbs or so. That back pack was heavy on the way home.
I'm glad I made it before the rain started.
