I think I have been in a post Ironman funk for the past 6 months. I have just been going through the motions with all of my workouts and just basically doing them just to do them. This weekend I think I may have finally snapped out of it. I had a great run on Saturday morning and I actually really enjoyed being out there. That was the first time in a while. I may have gone through post Ironman depression. I think the fact that I didn't complete Ironman affected me more than I thought it did. Now I'm excited to get back on track. I have been just stagnent in my workouts for running and I have not even been back on my bike since I put it away after Ironman.
This morning I did weights and I plan to start doing Insanity after work to start building up that cardio endurance. I talked a couple of people into doing a half marathon in May so I really need to get myself ready for that. I also have a half Ironman distance race in August that I need to start training for.
It's only day 1 but I'm excited to get serious again.
