Wow... Today was a CRAZY day! I didn't get to the gym today but its probably better that I didn't my legs and arms are a bit sore and I'm sure I could use some rest. it's probably better to just do 3-5 workouts a week until I get a few weeks in. it's just hard because I know where I was and I want that back.

I was a bit worried that I would bit really sore today, but I'm not! Yay! I guess that means I'm doing a good job of not pushing too hard. I feel a bit in my quads and triceps, but noting excruciating. Just enough to know I worked. :)

Nutrition is a BIG deal for me... and I know I need to watch it. I didn't realize my bagel had so many calories until I logged it. I may need to buy a pack of smaller ones. Anyways... The weight is headed the right direction and I feel good so I guess I'll just keep on keepin on!

I thought I would be a bit sore today after yesterdays swim, but I guess since I wasn't trying to turn in any blistering fast times I struck a good balance between distance and effort. I'm trying really hard to ease into things. I have a tendency to be very extreme in everything I do. I guess triathlon itself is a bit extreme, but I want to take it easy and get back into the swing of things without injury or pain. So far so good. I'm planning to go to the gym again today and do a fast weight circuit followed by a little time on the treadmill.

Also, looking at yesterdays food I had too much fat. GRRRR! I need to watch it today. Truth be known I'm eating better than normal, but still not where I need to be. Starting next week I'm back to another round of very strict Dr. supervised dieting. I'm not a fan of the bland repetitive eating, but I will likely loose another 20 pounds so in the end it's all worth it. I started at 271 pounds down to 253. hopefully 233 by the end of July and at or near 200 by the end of August. then its time to really ramp up the training. At that weight I can run like crazy and my bike is a comfortable fit. YAY!

Good workouts today... I ate a bigger lunch than I should have, but I was starving and I know I can always trim back a bit at dinner time. I'm still pretty full.

First time back in the water in a LONG time. I took a nice long slow swim. I was impressed I could still swim 1000M even if it was slow. I didn't feel too bad. It's like riding a bike!

Wow... It's been a LONG time since I logged a BT workout. I got very frustrated with my weight gain and inability to lose much weight despite awe inspiring workouts in the past. Turns out I had some thyroid issues and a metabolic issue that is now being treated by a doctor. I have lost 20 pounds in the last month and I feel GREAT so I'm thinking it's time to get off my @$$ and start racing again. Now that the thyroid and metabolism are under control I have high hopes for next summers racing season. between here and there I'll be doing a few 5 - 10K's and maybe a few bike events, but the real short term goal is to be healthy. There is time to be competitive once by body is all in order. Anyways... I could really use any inspires and encouragement you can give if anyone still reads this.
