Treadmill run. 103 degrees here today. This was the 89th day this year that had temps over 100 degrees. That's almost 1/4 of the year over 100 degrees. Not to mention how many days were 98 or 99 degrees. I'm so ready for fall weather.
September 27
Football mom duties today. Dalton played well and got a couple of blocks that let the running back slip by and into the end zone for a touchdown. My kid may not be the biggest on the field, but I am proud of him and the effort he puts in. Soccer is his main sport, so this is just icing on the cake. The game got called 2 minutes into the second half however due to lightning. There were thunderstorms to the west, but unfortunately they fizzled out or went around us because we got nothing! Big bummer.
One of my good friends had come up for the game. She is moving to Lubbock this weekend, so we went out to eat after the game got cancelled. It was good to spend time with her before she leaves.
