Swam what I expected
Respectable bike split
COMPLETE MELTDOWN
EAGLEMAN - Not my day
4:44:45 - 71st OA, 63rd male, 14th AG
The swim was fine...nothing impressive but it's about my usual swim. Water was on the warm side by the time you got cranking with a full wetsuit. My power meter has been acting up lately so I rode on feel and I think it was about the right pace. Everything was going fine heading out onto the run and then the heat completely crushed me. Nutrition, hydration, electrolytes...all good. There was just nothing in my legs and I was overheating something nasty. Worst run (race) in my life. The miles seemed to take forever and I swear the turn-around was 8 miles out. More race report after I have a chance to think things over and get some rest.

Short shake-down ride with the race wheels and a little leg opener. Power meter has been acting up lately and I had to calibrate a few times to get some reasonable measurements. Might have to send it in for service next week.
I haven't run a step since Sunday but I wanted to at least get the legs turning over a little so I did some drills and strides in the grass at the transition.

A little on the warm side this afternoon :) I'd say it was brutally hot but then what do I call it on Sunday when it's even hotter? I hit the road after work around 4:30 looking to get about 2.5 hours with no specific structure, just ride steady hard and try to hang around 90% FT as much as possible. I hit about every stop light in the first 10 miles and I think every single car in the area was out on the roads with cell phone toting drivers. To top it off my power meter was being a little difficult and I had to stop a few times for calibration adjustments. I managed a solid 1:45 block at .89 IF including stops other interruptions so that was pretty good. At the 2hr point my legs were about TOAST so I made a pit stop at Starbucks for some iced vanilla latte and then took 15min easy to finish off. I guess it wasn't a bad workout in general but all the BS I had to deal with sucked.

Interval day. My Ergomo offset seemed to drift and the last FT interval was easier then it should have been. I reset the offset and the final 105% interval was where it should be.
