I was looking good until mile 20.  The hills toasted me like marshmallow.

Now it's time to eat some Turkey!

I almost forgot the most important thing due to my glycogen depleted brain! 

Bloody Nipples!  Hopefully Natalie will send me a pic her kind husband snapped of them.

Going to get the race packet.  I hope the shirt is cool.

Plan:

If everything goes perfect ;)

First 5 miles 8:05 min/miles

6-8 miles give back on the up hill- this could be a big hill that comes back to haunt you later.

8 mile mark (peachtree Rd) be averaging 8:15

Keep the average at 8:15 min/miles on the flat part from the 8-18 mile mark.

Use the down hill from 18 to 20 to recharge a bit.  8:15 min/miles

20-21 is the first serious climb.  I need to run this as slow as I need to.  9:00-9:45.

21-25 is repeated hills and false flats.  Average 9:15 through here.

25-26.2 - what ever is left.  Try to run sub 9 min mile.

5K around the Roswell Rec.  I tried out my race outfit since the temp (34) was about the same as for the race.  I went with short sleeve tech shirt, shorts, light gloves, and a regular running hat.  I was a bit cold, but felt fine. 

 

 

Dinner:

We have a friend and his Mom who are coming over for dinner.  She is from Upstate New York so we need to fix her up some southern food.

Just a little 5k to keep me loose.  I kept on a good pace this time.  Everything feels good.

Dinner:

Hotdogs and fries.  We have a bunch of fancy meals this week so I thought it would be good to keep it simple.  Last night was homemade pasta, Weds. dinner/party at the inlaws, Thurs. turkey day, Friday friends over, Saturday friends Ma cooks authentic italian feast.  We are busy little bees...

Run Forest!  I'm going to run 6 when it warms up.  The cold is just about gone and I need to stretch the legs a bit.

Pasta Rustica- meat sauce made from beef short ribs

Arugula salads with fresh mozzarella and tomatoes.
