Last week went well. I need to get more biking in, but the rain had my schedule all screwed up. Hopefully I can get in a good bike tomorrow as my last work out of the month. The BT plan says I need about 17 hours of SBR this week, but I don't see it happening with the HIM on Saturday and the travel to get there and back. I guess there won't be a taper for the HIM!

I wanted to test my nutrition one last time. The SCT would have been the place to do this since my race is flat, but there wasn't enough time. I rode the hills of Roswell and tried to keep my HR about where it will be in the race. On the run I just tried to find my zen. You know, that pace where it feels easy. Anyway, everything went great and I felt like I was just getting warmed up at the end of the run.
bike nutrition:
3.5 botlles of powerbar drink: 210x3.5=735cals
1 bottles of HEED: 1x200=200 cals
5 oz gu: 500 cals
1435 calories/ 5:53 = 246 cal/hour
run nutrition:
4 gu's and 32 ounces of h2o
400 cals/ 1:22 = 292

The weather for Saturday in Jacksonville has improved. It looks like it will rain, but not a lot of it. The best part is the wind is predicted at 5-8 mph instead of 20-25 mph.
It was a good month. I always feel like I needed to ride more, but the rain canceled a few rides. 62 hours is still strong.
