This was my first ride with the race wheels on. Everything went well until I ran over a screw and punctured my tubular tire. This would have been a minor inconvenience under normal circumstances, but I didn't bring a spare tire. I was in a rush Blah Blah. Lucky for me my folks live about a mile or two from where I was. They are retired and always in the mood for some excitement. When I got home I tried a can of Vittoria Pitstop on the tire to see if the stuff would seal the hole. It didn't. The directions are pretty bad on the can so I went in and did some internet research and tried another can. Nope. If you have been thinking about carrying this stuff instead of a spare I would reconsider. It might work with a different type of puncture, but a screw/nail hole is a common flat. Anyway, I was off to Performance for some new tires and they luckily had a really good tubbie for $60 marked down from $80.
The tires were folded up nicely and I was able to fit the tire, one tire lever, 2 CO2's, and the inflater in my saddle bag! Problem solved. Don't buy Zipp Tangent tires because they don't fold flat.

Riding the bike today. 40ish with a little run.
It was 39 when I headed out. I didn't want to ride, but I knew I needed to fine tune the race outfit. It was bad the first few descents, but once the sun got up it wasn't so bad. It was 50 when I finished and I wasn't over heating. Hopefully I can make it to the special needs bag and dump the outer wear without getting hot.

Last run of the month. I felt good and wanted to keep running, but new I needed to keep it short so I turned around.
