Morning "run training" class before work. We didn't actually run much today, just a bit of easy jogging during the warm up. We did lots of stretching, some exercise circuits, balance drills/games, and covered a number of technique points with demos and trials. The coach had to leave a few minutes early.

The running part of a morning "run training" class before work, on a 200m indoor track. 3 laps or .6km during warm up, and 2x8 laps during the main run. All at an easy pace, with walking, stretching, and some exercise circuits mixed in.

The non-running parts of this morning's 1 hour "run training" class: stretching, exercise circuits (balancing focus today), walking, etc.

Just a little, I've been feeling my right plantar fascia complaining this weekend. It's not a problem yet but as a precaution I'm trying to proceed very easily to let it settle down. As I've learned in the past, the trick is to keep doing enough to get it stronger without over stressing it and having to back off while inflammation subsides. The hip seems to be OK lately, although this fascia irritation is on the same side so there might be some connection. Maybe I've been favouring that side and now it's being strained more as I try to ramp up? The adventure continues ... ;)

Morning treadmill run, preceeded by 5 minutes progressively quicker walking to warm up. 15 minutes at an easy pace and then a few more minutes walking, off the clock to cool down. This seems like a lot of fussing over such a short and easy workout, but I'm determined to get back to running without reinjuring myself. This seemed to go well anyway.
