Road from the in-laws to BRV and then part of BRL. Legs felt good. Absolutely gorgeous morning for a ride.

Was going to brick but got a later start with the extra sleep and then hanging with Laura parents while eating breakfast...by the time I got home it was time to play some whiffle ball with Kelly's kids.

Was going to run when we got home but Laura convinced me to relax and hang out. Good call by her.

Black Bear Century

First organized century. Love the aid stations and eating real food. Smaller ride as I only rode with someone not named Laura for a few miles the whole day.

Super windy day make a tough course absolutely killer. Garmin had just shy of 12k ft of climbing. Profile was deceiving b/c we climbed to the highest point in NJ (High Point State Park, elevation 1803ft) and it made other climbs see like little rolling bumps...which they were not. The wind at the High Point monument had to be 40+mph sustained with gusts even harder..could barely walk.

Most nerve racking part was descending from High Point into a strong head/cross wind depending on how the road was bending. On a calm day you could tuck and go mid 30s...today you'd have to work to go mid 20s and not fall over.

PT died about 25mi in. Sad b/c I would have really liked to have seen the TSS, kJ and other data.

Legs felt good throughout.
