I'm starting to think that I destroyed a good percentage of muscle-mass during IMAZ. Despite my best eating and hydration efforts, I have yet to regain any of the 8-10 lbs I lost last week. When I left for Arizona I weighed approximately 177 lbs. After getting home I was around 169 lbs. Today I'm at 170 lbs. I'm sure racing at a lighter weight is beneficial, but I really didn't expect to lose nearly 5% of body weight in less than a week.

It felt good to get a faster-paced run in. Although my HR was high during the hard sessions, I felt like it quickly moderated during the recovery periods. The interval pace varied throughout the run, but there was a slight grade around mile 2.
