Just some spinning on the indoor bike.

A little bike ride and run is on the sked today. I'm also thinking about Strong class at LTF.

I'm also going to check out an episode of Carrier that was on PBS. Being a former military guy, I kind of dig this sort of thing. I am usually able to decipher what is propaganda and what is real.

April 28

This is going to be a light week for me according to the plan. This is fine with me as I have a half mary on Saturday in Prescott.

I'll spend this week writing my resume and breaking out the study materials for the exam re-take. I should get the results in a few weeks.

I also have to find something for Shelley's B-day this weekend. Any ideas for a simple girl that has everything she needs?

So, I'm swimming outdoors at LTF on Sat morning before Total Conditioning. The water is starting to feel nice and the sun shining on the water makes it really clear. I could not help but think of Cordova61 as I was swimming. You see, there was a whaleaerobics class going on. The poor instructor was on the pool deck providing direction on some exercises. It was funny because ist appeared that no one in the water was actually doing anything. I did get some free music to motivate me to swim. Now, if LTF could sweep the pool out sometimes it would be heaven.

April 27

This turned into a rest day. I did put in alot of support and effort watching the Suns and D-backs games.

Total Conditioning

This week has been the most time training wise ever. I am now starting to feel that I can finish the half. I'll probably always be a BOP but that is ok as long as the clocks are not turned off. I'm old you know.

Whiskey Row 1/2 next weekend for wife's birthday. This was her choice. She is turning the big four O

April 25

It looks like today will be a rest day. Emily is off from school and Shelley is taking a half day off. I'll swap tomorrow's rest day for today. I'll choose b/w a bike, swim and strength training.

It's Friday

OWS

Yards and time are a guesstimate

Two loops around the far bouys and four on the near ones.

This is my farthest swim to date.

I'm off to run. I need to get in 2 hours before it gets hot!

Todays run was just to get out there and practice pacing and nutrition. I was not really concerned about distance at all. I was trying to keep my HR at 160 or less. Started at 0900 and finished just after 11:00. The last few miles it was getting hot. I ran for an hour then turned around.

I saw lots of critters today. This helped with diverting my attention from the fact that I was running 10 miles.  An Owl, some prairie dogs, horses, cows, ducks and fish. The best one was this huge a$$ roadrunner. He hopped a five foot fence from a standstill. I did not know they could do that. I then followed him for about a qtr mile as he would run ahead and wait then run some more. He must have thought I was chasing him. I also saw a beautiful mallard duck that was dead right on the sidewalk. He did not appear to have been damaged on the outside.

Tonight a little OWS at the lake with a special appearance by riorio. This is way east side for her.
