It was hard to get out of bed this morning, but I am glad I did. Legs were tight from the race yesterday (surprisingly) so it was good to ride. I rode a little further than my plan called for to compensate for my traveling thi week.
Officially signed up for my next race, a super sprint that I have been trying to go under an hour for three years, this is the year.

Great race today, I went there with the only expectation was to run my race in a comfortable pace. I was doing that and feeling good. Did not take my Garmin or iPod and just rane. At mile 2, I looked at watch and saw it said 15:20, which gave me a huge boost that maybe I could beat my PB. Ran hard and strong and was pleased with my finish. 21/96 in AG! 217/1116 OA

Scheduled rest day today and it felt good to sleep in until 7AM, felt like I slept the day away. Overall I feel pretty good, just still fatigued, so maybe another good nights sleep will help. I have a trainer ride planned this weekend (have to pick up the kids from camp which is why I will be on the trainer) and the I am suppose to do a 7 mile run on Sunday. I have a 5k that morning, so I might have to split it into two different runs!

closing in on 100K yards soon
I was actually in bed before 10 PM last night! Which helped since I planned on getting up early this morning. I really wanted to hit my planned mileage today. The swim was good and strong it felt, felt like I was just barely pushing it. My run felt good also. I left the iPod and Garmin in the backpack and just went and ran. I had mapped out my run the night before so I knew where I needed to go, went .2 miles longer than planned, but that's cool. I am really starting to feel confident again about my HIM training. I really expect to beat IM Branson's time of 7:35. Thankfully, tomorrow is a rest day, then Sat I will ride (most likely a trainer ride due to family responsibilities) and then a 5k race Sunday morning, and another run later to get in all my mileage I need.
