At Suwanee GW.  Beautiful day and an OK run.  A lot going on between my ears..yes, yes I know incert your smart-a$$ remark here for those that know me....just have a lot on my mind lately and it is getting in the way.

1/2 mi.w/u 1/2 mi c/d  ... 8- .25 mi. hill repeats.  Frickin hard.  Probably not as loose as I should have been.  Also...the dang hill was STEEEEEP.  Why can't I cut back on the testosterone/macho/hero fireman mentality....Why don't I do the things I advise others to do when training for a running event.

But on the other hand...I got it done and the hip felt pretty dang good.

Well...legs are sore today but it isn't terminal.  The good news is that I have very little soreness or pain in the (L) hip.  I'm ordering a foam roller this week and I'm getting on a program to use it many times a week in hopes that I can get this under control.

Doing the Silver Comet Half Marathon next weekend.  This will be Dr. GoodHands first and the first H/M I have done in about 15 years.  It's an easy course and should be fun. 

I hate drama.

5:00a.m. at the River...got in almost 5 before Dr. GoodHands arrived (I wanted company on the final 9 not on the first 9.  Beautiful fall morning, cool and clear.  "S" (Dr. GH) showed and we got in the rest of the run...she did GREAT and I did OK...some pain in the (L) hip.  Thought it might be running on the heavely crowned road so I stayed to the middle as much as possible...nice try...hip starting aching (6mi), hurting (9mi)...WTF (11mi).

Finished and went back to Dr. GH's office where she has a foam roll.  That did the trick.  15 minutes on the floor of her office...(that's with the roll BETH...not the Dr.  ;) ) did the trick.  As I type this about 7 hours later the hip still feels super.

Good day today and really hope for an even better one tomorrow.

Yesterday was not a good day..all kinds of things going on in my mind and none of them are positive and/or productive.  Sat at the computer for 4 hrs. and did nothing but click the mouse...and didn't even spend any quality "PORN" time.  Then got up and went and laid down on the bed and watched TV for another 4 hours....couldn't not tell you one thing I watched...except for 1 funny episode of "King of the Hill"...yes I have stooped that low.  All sorts of mental issues and some physical things that are really getting to me.  I am not usually a worrier, in fact I need to concern myself more with some thing than I do, but a couple of these things (especially the physical things) are really getting in my head and it is super frustrating. But you know...in comparison to the things some people are going through right now I really shouldn't complain...I am glad no one else reads this blog.

Anyway...doing 14 in the A.M. with Dr. GoodHands and I hope that starts a great weekend.
