Doing some tempo work today...    .5 each w/u and c/d then 3.5 miles run 4/tempo increase 30 sec.  Felt pretty good but probably could have pushed a little harder...but I think I am already thinking about Wednesday......18 miler planned.  I'm going to take tomorrow off from running but I may try to get in the pool....

Had a great breakfast with the Good Dr.  Got some Tri Team stuff sorted out and some race calendar stuff for next year discussed.

Oh yeah....also "ran" almost 7 (supposed to do 8) and Dr. GH was having a bit of a struggle so we cut it short a little...Not a problem since we are moving the long runs to Wed's and I will have time to make this recovery run up (so to speak).

Took "E" to a classmates birthday party and saw her turn into a crazy woman driver on the go-cart track...she kicked some butt. 

RANT ON///  Why would 4 people ages 21-55, who are together at home, call me at a birthday party at 7:00 p.m. and ask ME what I am going to get for THEM for supper?  WTFSo I cave in and stop on the way home and we have pizza.  NO...not pizza but pizza....no chance pizza was happening but that is an entirely different RANT and would result in my blog getting pulled.  Thank you for your time.      RANT OFF//.

Guess on the distance today.  Did hill work at the High School.  Combined 800 w/u then 6 stadiums <2:00 ea. then 6 hills at < 25 sec. ea.  Finished with a timed 100 yd. then 400 c/d.

Timed 100- 15.55....400-1:58I will check this each week until Marathon time just for $hits and giggles.

Am at a much better place right now mentally than I have been for sometime...wooo hooo!  Still have some things to work out but I'm headed in the right direction and with the help of some very close friends (some, who are on BT ) this has been quite a journey that I hope continues toward the positive...as my new Blog heading says...2009 The year of BIG changes.  I can't wait.

Went to see Dr. GoodHands...she earned her nickname today.  A GREAT massage and then I ran at the river...beautiful, sunny and 68..WOW.  Just a 3 mi. recovery run from the track stuff yesterday and I felt real good.  Got into a "follow that ponytail" groove and just kept going.  Only walk break was to adjust the iPod for about 45 sec. and that was about 20 minutes into the run.

Hills tomorrow....oh boy...and I have to get my push-ups in later... Done....This is FRICKIN HARD...and yes, I am a wuss  ;)

We shall see.
