SET a PR today by at least 15 min.......and I am sooooo proud.
Told folks we would eat at 2:00....and we were praying at 2:05 and sitting at the tables at 2:08. OH YEAH....Oldest "M" was SUPER. He and I were in the kitchen for 2 days and did a LOT of stuff early...what a GREAT Thanksgiving. Hope everyone else enjoyed theirs.
Me and Dr. GoodHands are thinking about moving our 20 miler from Sat. to tomorrow because of the weather....that will be interesting.

Still sore from the lower body W/O on Monday...WTF....I REALLY must have overdone it.
Nothing doing today. "J" had some outpatient surgery on her elbow and wrist and I am getting ready for13-15 folks to grace our home expecting copious amounts of fine vittles and grub...so Oldest M and I have been cooking and cleaning after I got home from the hospital.
I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving and safe travels to those doing so. And a special THANKS to our troops serving and protecting us.
Have a 20 miler scheduled for Saturday with Dr. GoodHands...not going to do anything much between now and then except I may try and get 3-5 miles in tomorrow sometime (I'll have to be quick)

Went with Dr. GoodHands to Suwanee Greenway...did 8 and felt real good. It got dark right at the end of the run and we had to walk some extra because we started with a 1+ mi. trail run with lots of roots etc. and we couldn't see the ground the last mile or so.
Going to try and take the new ride out for a spin tomorrow before I go to the River for the Tri group's regular run.
Got some clarity on a couple of things today....in the grand scheme of things I guess tat is a good thing.
We shall see.
Closest Book Quote, from "The Best Tar Heel Barbecue": (Hey...I am a foodie..not an intellect ;) )
"The combination of smokiness and sweetness makes for an absolute tast symphony-just enough outside crunch to go with the moist melt in your mouth meat."

I just ran 20 FRICKIN MILES. (well ran/walked at a 4/1 rate) Longest run of my life and I am super pleased with how it felt. Dr. GoodHands and I were able to hold the 4/1 pace for the ENTIRE time...so cool. And we even had a very good kick the last 1/3 mile.
We finished this run at about 6:00 p.m. and it is 1:37 a.m. and I am still up and wide awake.
Interesting thing happened at the Flying Biscuit as we were eating...lady starts motioning thru the window that her husband needs help....I went out there and he was in respiratory arrest (possibly from a seziure)...evaluated him and got him on the ground and he started to come around somewhat...he finally came to and Fire/Rescue arrived...it is nice to know that after being retired over 5 years and being a Chief (who NEVER handles patients) for 6 years, that the skills were still avaliable for recall by my tired brain. I believe he will be OK.
p.s.....I have said something about this before...but I am SO PROUD of Dr. GoodHands. She has had some trouble with some of our long runs but today she KICKED A$$. In the time frame of 1 year and 1 day...she has gone from WALKING her FIRST RACE (a 5K) to running/walking (4/1) for 20 FRICKIN MILES....That is so awesome. I also learned some interesting things about our pacing that will be a big help at Disney.
