Going to Nationals!
April 12
April 11
Not happening today folks and probably won't tomorrow either. Conference I'm going to is taking too much time and I'm pretty wiped out when I come home in the evenings. One more day. On Friday I plan to swim in the morning and perhaps run after that. Will plan more later.

Out and back C&O Canal towpath MP 48-51 + from car
Stats taken after run before dinner, %water 58.8. As I'm probably not going to get to do much tomorrow due to a lot going on, decided on a run after work. Debated running in the neighborhood vs the towpath, mostly because it was a might windy and I'm not fond of falling branches...or trees (yikes!). But after work, I was feeling a might low and decided if I didn't do this on the towpath, it wasn't getting done. Gosh I felt low and really not all that great while running. Heck, I almost bagged it after a mile as I was just not feeling it and wasn't really enjoying myself which is unusual. Perhaps it's just because it's tough on Mondays and maybe yesterday's bike ride wiped me out. Don't know. Still, I pressed, did the run, and did okay though my right knee started to act up for some reason.
Tomorrow probably nothing due to a lot of scheduling issues. Not sure about Wed and Thur just yet as I have a conference in DC both days and it will be tough getting some sort of workout in. Plan those as I get to them.
Friday, hopefully a swim and a run
Not sure about weekend just yet. Will plan later.

Ft Detrick perimeter run
Riding 'round the Middletown Valey
So far, worked out as planned with a morning swim followed by a perimeter run at Ft Detrick. Swimming was okay and I might try warming up more with breast stroke just to get my arms going where drills don't. Then went outside for a run. What a super day today!! Mid-60s, a bit of wind, low humidities, and bright sunshine!! Perfect running weather! Not a bad run a week from the 50K either. Have a few chores to do but considering it's so nice out, I might just try to get a ride in later too. Until then....
Stats taken after bike ride, %water 57.3, so dehydrated a bit and explains why %BF is up. Well, decided to try for a bike ride too since it just looked too nice out. But, may have bit off more than I could chew. Winds are really up this afternoon, gusting up into the 20s if not near 30! So many spots going out I had a headwind and a strong one at that. Now I did get to zoom down one of the mountains with top speed being 43.7 mph! Still after I turned around, I started to get REAL tired! And I also started to get hungry too. Seemed to be getting chillier as well. So, a lot of things worked against me here later. Last few miles I was just kinda going through the motion of pedaling just to keep going. Not doing too well and I was very glad to get back home. Not sure why I got like this other than perhaps I hadn't eaten as much I should've during the day. Also had 2 other workouts earlier but still thought I could do a decent ride later.
Tomorrow I may run after work. Tuesday will be a day off. Will plan rest of week later as I have a conference to go to Tues-Thur. So, not sure how my schedule's going to be.

Riding around the Middletown Valley
Stats taken after ride, %water 58.9. Despite the fact that I slept fairly long, I woke up kinda congested and with a headache. So, not feeling very well this morning and took a while to get my act together. After chores, I finally got out for a nice ride in the valley. Windy, though not overly so, and much of the time I had a nice tailwind. To be sure I hit some headwinds here and there with some long stretches of them too. But, the tailwinds made up for those. Bright sunshine and temps in the 60s, so only arm warmers and a light compression T under my bike jersey. It was a nice ride and nice day to be out!
Tomorrow I thought about a swim and then a run but not sure if the gym will be open as it's Easter. Just go for a run if that's the case.
Plan the rest of the week tomorrow.

Wow! Look at that! A swimming bar! Yeah and oh, my am I S-L-O-W! Well, I expected nothing less. I don't think I can remember the last time I actually swam at the pool. Really just a reintroduction. Hopefully, get better with time as I attempt to follow some sort of plan here.
Tomorrow, probably bike somewhere
Sunday, maybe a swim and a run.
Will plan rest of week on Sunday as it's going to not be my usual schedule.
