Robbie and I headed to the gym - usual routine.  Doing pulls with the paddles really felt schweet!  Now that I am getting the hang of high elbows and getting a better "catch" my stroke count dropped to 14 and I felt really strong/fast.  Lats were talkin' to me by the end of this session, but not like a couple of weeks ago.  I had a GREAT swim and backed up my sub 1:30 on the last 100 (swam 1:26).  Maybe Santa DID bring me some swimming speed for Christmas after all ;)

Beautiful day out there!  47 degrees and sunny.  Wore shorts, LS tech tee, Brooks running vest, and my new BRIGHT YELLOW Nike Dri-Fit ballcap (Thanks Cori!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!).  The ball cap worked awesome.  So did my legs - felt really, really, really good.

After wrapping and boxing up presents, Robbie got on the treadmill for a fitness walk, and I knocked out an hour on the trainer in Z1-Z2 per the plan.  Kinda hopped up right now, not sure if I'll get to sleep.  Early swim on tap tomorrow.
----------------------------------------------------------
Hopped on the treddy for a little running work.  Supposed to bike today too.  Not sure I'll get to that right away.
----------------------------------------------------------
Here's what Robbie and I saw last night!  I have not laughed continuously like that in quite a long time.  It was freakin' hilarious!!!  This was my birthday present from November, and it was a total blast.  Sometimes brainless silliness is just what the doctor ordered.

I am spent; therefore, I declare today an unplanned rest day.  Gotta say though, this off-season has been really awesome!  Training for Musselman kicks off on 7 January.

Swim was a mutha - very tired out.  Average on fast 100s was 1:33.  300s ended up at T-pace +:03 instead of T-pace.  Last of the main set kicked my ass.  Cut the workout short.

Totally amazed at how good my running feels this week!  That Jingle All The Way 10K was more of a breakthrough than I originally though.  Wow!

I did actually see fish - they just weren't alive or on the end of my rod.
